Go to your orgs home webpage… Your on it. The guys in there are gloating. Why you guys would even mentioned another org in a negative manner on your org’s webpage is extremely unprofessional across the board but that doesn’t surprise me.
What did surprise me is that Scott Stone came out public and stated that he contacted that OC official who ended up sending him the email. He’s now on the very short list of guys who do this to others. I only know 2 other guys in the whole industry who would do something like this. Now there are 3… And who knows what Scott said but I’m sure it wasn’t anything positive to anyone.
Disappointing day. We all lost a little respect today with the powers to be…definitely a setback.

It boggles my mind that the person who exposed a lie by someone claiming to represent us is vilified. You are correct though. Robert had set or industry back and embarrassed us all.

So, when everyone was directed and encouraged to contact OC with comments, concerns and questions - this didn’t include the UAMCC?
Some members were concerned with happenings in OC - the environmental committee investigated. Their findings have been published and the email from Mr. Boon, Chief of OC Stormwater Program says what it says.

I really don’t care about the personalities, relationships or conjecture… I disagree with how we are presented as ‘polluters’, sidewalk cleaners and building washers are grouped with fleet washers and complication of CWA no off-property discharge.
For a ‘fact’ guy John… There’s always a lot of assumprion, hyperbole, spin and drama…

It’s disappointing Scott Stone did what he did when he never even contacted Jen Voss. Instead he went right over her head and I can only imagine what he said. It’s a mute point now but I see Tony S. schooled Scott well on how to do this.

I don’t know about offering PWRA guys anything… Anyone can ask me questions if they want. If I can help, I will… If I don’t know the answer I’ll help them find it. Spoke at the convention last year, I know some found it helpful, some may not have?!

Steve -where looking into now what happened here. I’m debating on calling the same person Scott did and see if he authorized Scott to release his email all over the net and also have what he said on your org’s webpage.
I will tell you the odds of me calling him are slim because I pretty much know what he’s going to say to that and also calling him then I’m playing into the same hand you guys have done which I hate those tactics because to me there underhanded.

On your misdirection… Mr. Boon is chief of the stormwater authority - he has made it clear what the situation was. But you want to beat around the bush with your disbelief that an organization representative would reach out to a public body, in the interests of clarifying the situation for concerned members of said organization with business interests in the area? With something as major as a BMP change - you would expect the chief to have the answers, no?! But you remain adamant that Ms. Voss should have been contacted…
You are advising Robert to keep all interaction with authorities quiet… You are questioning whether this information from Mr. Boon should have been released… It gets alarm bells ringing for me. That is why myself and Greg don’t want you guys presenting to AHJs in our area.
Actions and words John… The words say that you want to help contractors, make it more straightforward for us to run our businesses… The actions (and your words on keeping robert’s environmental activities on the down low) show something else…
I ask you one thing, read Mr. Boon’s words again. Try to remove your disdain for the individuals involved with the UAMCC (difficult, I know… But try!) and explain to us where the disconnect is? Not a rundown of how you disapprove of the methods (even though it was all above board), but how the original information released by Robert contrasts with Mr. Boons words.
If you have something that clarifies the disconnect, I am all ears.
