Pump Sprayer with SH

are you wetting the siding with water before you spray the housewash?

Yes I am, I average around 3 minutes on each side. So about 10-15 gallons of water before.

I wet, apply house wash mix, rinse

Is this not the correct way?

that’s a $500 job here in Tennessee

just for the house or house and driveway?

I know, lame

but the house is 120
driveway 80
patio 50
pool deck 80
lanais/pool enclosure 100
Total: 430

roof (sof.wash) 250

thats how much you could make off one house pwing

… the house is 120

Where I am at the
house is 250-350
driveway 100
patio 50-75
pool deck 100
pool enclosure 100

roof is 400 minimum. No one in my area is even doing roofs. I am going to hire a guy to do these for me. I could easily charge 1-2 per sqft of the home.

I can think of no reason to make the job take longer or make it harder on your self. Washing in the rain is bad enough. If you are wetting the siding before hand then the chems are having to fight thru a layer of water before they even get to the siding. No wonder your mix has to be so strong.

I did not know this was the standard way of doing things. I will test this out on the next house and see how it turns out. I just worry about getting blotching because almost every house in my area has oxidized siding.

I don’t wash oxidized siding. You’ll get blotching from parts of the house drying before the housewash mix hits it. Do what works for you. Just strange to me.

Well I always apply the house wash mix when wet, never had an issue. I also mist the siding to make sure it does not dry during dwell time.

No issues yet, some of the houses had white water running off them… All that pigment…

If I did not wash oxidized siding I would not make any money :frowning:

Florida = Right to Work = Junk wages due to no union representation = 1,000,000,0000 self employed people doing work for gas money and surf boards. NO OFFENSE if your from Florida but I feel bad for everyone in the service industry there.

Right to Work is now approved in Missouri and alot of people are feeling the pain from it already.

As I read “$120 for a house wash”, I gasped and somehow got the Pepsi I was drinking in my nose holes and it burns like the devil went down to Georgia…

I left an estimate 20 minutes ago that got approved and scheduled on the spot for a 2 story house and a section of vinyl fence that was 4x that…

To those of you running pressure washing businesses in Florida, you’re better men than I. I would’ve skipped town or found a different business venture. I wouldn’t have survived a year…

I’d rather have people say this about me for years after I’m dead and gone than “he had a bunch of money.”

Easy money in Florida. buck a gallon bleach and same houses to wash at least twice a year. $120 for a 30 minute house wash and line up a neighborhood.

That makes a lot more sense to me.

I don’t care what anyone says after I am dead and gone because in < 100 years everyone will forget about me and what difference will it make. The only thing that matters to me is the happiness my loved ones and I can have right now.

120 for 30 minutes? does this include setup and breakdown?

If 2 guys can’t wash a 1800 sq ft house, roll up to roll out, in 30 minutes you need to start firing employees.

Not trying to be all Victor Frankl but there is a lot more to life than happiness

What a great book though… goosebumps for days. I read it while living in a tent for a week and a half in Shenandoah.
