Pump Sprayer with SH

I’m by no means endorsing the guy. I just thought it was funny this guy’s name was Dan and he was asking about pump sprayers. I watched a couple of his videos too. Never this one, but it has pump sprayers in the photo. It’s like inception.

Gotta love that haircut lol. He is the nephew of my uncle over there in Zimbabwe.

hahaha.

The thread explained to get a down stream injector instead.

If you still want to use a sprayer, yes you can (4 parts water, 1 part sh), you’ll just spray yourself in the face.

lol I’m not that cool

Well I am not necessarily looking to do roof tops. It’s mostly that my neighborhood has a crap ton of pvc and vinyl fences, plus being able to spray down concrete before I pressure wash. I have the chemical nozzle, but it doesn’t seem to be syphoning the chemicals through…again smh.

You absolutely can softwash with a pump up sprayer.

You can softwash with a coffee cup also. Fill the cup up, toss it on the siding, repeat a few hundred times, dwell, rinse with garden hose, then move to the next side.

Seriously, though, If you are doing your own house, or maybe a one off for a neighbor, then yes you can use a pump up sprayer. If you want to make money at this, there are much easier methods. The easier you make it, the faster it gets done, the more money you make per hour.

Spend a week reading threads here about the basics, and you will learn a lot.

Thanks for the sarcasm…I mean that lol. But in all seriousness, this is pretty much a side job as I am a full time teacher. I pretty much only do driveways, but again, it’s certainly something that I’m looking to possibly get into, but not necessarily all in.

Are you doing driveways with the wand? Or do you have a surface cleaner? What’s the pressure washer that you are using?

I have watched some of Dan’s videos and I feel like he gives some decent advice here and there. I was taken away though when I seen his prices on house washing and how he justified such a low cost. He would rather work 3 houses and make 89 dollars each before cost, than do one job for 300…

Makes no sense at all.

Dan lives about 80 miles from me and in the same area as my Aunt. It seems that he has a good reputation for being honest, reliable, doing pretty good work and doing it for cheap. Far as I can tell, his average house wash runs about $120. Up one side and down the other, I think he is on the better end of the neighborhood hustler’s.

Does he live in a poorer area with less money or something.

I seen his sign in his truck in one video stating he charges something like 89 for single story and 120 for two story.

Can he not charge more or something?

I’m in Florida, the pressure washer state, and I charge at least 120 for a typical house like this one

You charge 120 for that house? I would charge anywhere from 250-400 before the driveway. You must have more competition.

Florida prices are different than just about anywhere else. Lots of competition.

I honestly feel as though there is no competition in my area. I see a few guys doing it and only a 2 big companies.

I feel bad for the flordia guys. This is seriously the easiest money I have ever made in my life.

I am estimating next year I will be bringing in 2500-5000 a week before taxes and expenses at 5-7 hours a day. 5 days a week.

I soft wash with a 4k 4GPM machine.

I am using 3.5 gpm 4000 psi, but I do very well and work pretty quick considering.

Next year I am making my investments, but for now it’s working great and I have not experienced high gpm so it does not seem slow.

I am assuming with an 8gpm machine I could get most house washes down to 30-45 mins.

I’ll take a picture of what has really helped me increase my productivity.

7 gallon Aquatainer, 20+ ft house and m-jet

Better than pics…do a video for us.

If 8gpm will have you doing a house in 30-45 minutes…I would like to see you wash with that smaller machine.

I saturate 3 sides of the house with water, spray a pretty strong house wash mix on 3 sides, sometimes the front also. Then rinse starting with the first side I applied house wash mix to. I also carry a 7 gallon jug around with 20ft of braided clear house attached to it. Houses average 1200 sqft.

Brick takes me forever, have not found a solution to getting that done faster yet.

My mix is strong, but have not had an issue with dead plants or anything else yet.
