Pump Sprayer with SH

As someones who worked his ass off for years in a career he hated for money. Happiness is enough for me.

Yes there is more like paying bills etc. Happiness is the most important for me.

pump sprayers are a thing of the past, look into a battery operater sprayer like the ips or back pack srprayers.

He’s an idiot imho. There’s a reason he’s working at a trash company now.

Awesomewash our prices are almost the same.
Although I start at $400 on roof cleaning. But yea this is Florida pricing.

It seems like you guys focus more on upselling lots of little things to make a higher dollar.

I would do this, but in my area they would say no to just about everything but the house.

Same, in my neck of the woods.

I am doing good to get them to wash their house.

upselling is not something I like done to me so I do not do it to anyone and that has worked well for my business, do onto others as you want done to you.

I use Ortho pump sprayers and Zep bottle sprayers around the house with bleach, the bleach always tears up the sprayer, that’s with a weak mix. Im sure there are sprayers that can handle bleach, if you go that route.

I’m an upselling son of a gun. If more stuff can be cleaned why not clean it while you’re already there? If I don’t have at least two line items on every estimate it’s rare. Most of the time it’s 4 or 5.

Why do you think it’s a bad thing to upsell? Genuinely curious.

I don’t think it is a bad thing.

It just does not work on folks in my area…I am lucky to find people that are willing to pay for basic cleaning.

I would up sell…if I had someone to up sell to.

@JimLuke this is what I was referring too

Oh, ok…thanks.

Upselling isn’t out of greed, everything gets moldy here in Florida, so I’m letting them know how much i charge to clean X while I’m out here with my equipment already. It’s stuff that has to get done, we won’t sell them anything they don’t need

Many times they simply don’t know what stuff we offer/can get cleaned

No, I have a surface cleaner (15"). But, my machine is a northstar, Honda gx160 engine, 2.5 gpm. Nowhere near where I want to be, but can’t afford anything higher, yet.

Add on sales are an art.

Just make it the customers idea. If you don’t at least try to up sell the answer will always be no

Couple things to keep in mind: One, lots and lots of HOAs down here forcing residents to keep their properties clean. I can’t remember the last house I cleaned that was actually dirty. Two, SH is dirt cheap. I pay .79 a gallon. I wish I could charge 250 - 400, not gonna lie.

I’m right there with Brodie. I try to obtain as high as a dollar per invoice as possible. I simply tell the customer " Hey John Doe, I’ve noticed that you have a deck/patio on the back of the property and I would be doing you a disservice if I at least didn’t bring it up and offer to clean that for you as well. Now, since we are here I can offer you that cleaning at a reduced rate. It’ll cost $XX.XX, shall I knock it out while we’re here?"

Just borrowing the thread title here. Hey what system do you guys have for storing and transporting 1 gallon pump up sprayers? I’m thinking about just using a milk crate on the flooring of the trailer.

That’s exactly what I use.
