Hey everyone, my name is Matt Abdishi from St. Petersburg FL. I started my company, St. Pete Pressure Washing LLC in November of 2022. I’m currently working out of a 4’x6’ enclosed trailer with a 4gpm machine, 18" SC, and 12v 5.5gpm soft wash set up. I have a 55 gallon drum which I use for batch mixing. Everything has to be precisely tetris’d in or else it won’t fit, so a new trailer will be my next upgrade.
I’ve been a lurker since I started my business, but finally got around to making an account recently. Looking forward to continue to learn from this great resource.
Howdy y’all,
My name is Cody and I just started a company (Coyote Power Wash) down in San Antonio, Tx. I’ve gone all in with a 5.5gpm/3500psi skid, 100 gallon buffer tank, 55 gallon SH tank and a 16 gallon utility tank on a 12 foot trailer. Still learning everything I can and trying to get this company off the ground.
I started out about 15 years ago buying my very first pressure washer at the age of 17 with the intention of using this to start my own mobile detailing business for cars in my area. I learned as much as I could and was detailing friends and families vehicles but never took it the business route.
Fast forward to where I am now and I had purchased a second pressure washer as a home owner because I wanted my curb appeal a little higher for a party my wife and I were hosting. I spend hours on hours pressure washing my deck and the back siding of my house and fell back in love with the process. From here I decided to do a little research and learned of all the do’s and don’t that had happened during my first new wash. Since then I have spent hours of research learning about things like GPM, PSI, chemicals, business strategies, etc.
I work a full time job Monday through Friday and have made the investment to go head first in to starting my first official side business. Still in the research and development phase I will continue to use this forum as a resource as I prepare myself for clients in the future. Thank you in advance for this community and i look forward to meeting you all!
Hell to all, My name is Aaron, I’m fairly new to PW. I started my own company a few months ago. I got the Licenses, Insurance equipment, have done some marketing, etc. I do have some experience with soft washing but that would be a very basic level. I’m 41 and don’t want to waste another minute building another company’s dreams. I have quite a few question’s with no mentor’s. I’m located in South central, KY and have a goal of 100k within 12 months. I’m extremely motivated to make this work, I have a good work ethic and am willing to do what it takes to never punch a clock somewhere else again. Things are not going as planned so far but I also realize that I am entering new water’s on the business side with marketing, contracts and such. Hoping to learn all I can from you all while I am here!
This is what we are using as we started out. Business was slow to begin with, but doing quite well now!
Many Thanks to Innocentbystander for helping a brother out!
Open to questions and comments. I’m here to learn and share
Thanks!

Hi! I own a commercial pressure washing company in Northern California. I started running it with my ex-husband over 20 years ago. When we got divorced he sold me his half and I’ve had it on my own since. I’ve put in plenty of time working in the field over the years, but these days I handle all of the other aspects of the business. We do only commercial properties and work only at night. I’ve made some changes and things are running really smooth. I have a great crew and plenty of work. I thought this was a good time to see what other businesses are doing and take some time to learn something new and ran across this forum. I look forward to talking shop with all of you!
Welcome, always good to have successful people in here to share knowledge. What type of commercial accounts, sure a mix but any particular one you specialize in?
It’s a mix of shopping centers, restaurants, gas stations, banks, and office buildings. We do apartment buildings occasionally for companies we do other work for, but I try to keep our work at night.
1st time poster, long time reader! I’ve been thinking about getting into the biz and after a few conversations with a friend of mine that has been doing it for 3 years I’m going to start building out a rig. The plan is to be up and running for the new year.
I live in southeast Georgia. Savannah, Ga specifically. I’ve been an advertising/marketing account executive the last 5 years. So I have a pretty extensive background of creating and running marketing campaigns for all kinds of different verticals. There isn’t an advertising solution out there I don’t have experience with.
I’m sure I’ll be asking some questions on here going forward and will do my best to chime in on any advertising posts I see.
If you have advertising ?’s I’m more than happy to help out where I can.
Hey everyone, my name is Chris. Army veteran (8+ years active) and current Firefighter/ LP. I am in the Spring/The Woodlands area in TX. I have been on this forum for a couple weeks now, recently created an account to respond and post, and the information is invaluable. I have been researching the market and industry for a while now as I get a lot of enjoyment out of pressure washing the station and just making a change and see things get better. I am currently in the beginning stages of branding and licensing/insurance. I knew getting into this business that there was way more to it than pushing a SC and running a wand over dirty surfaces, and I have learned a great amount and continue to learn something new everyday. A day is complete if you make yourself just 1% better than yesterday. This forum has instilled a high level of knowledge and confidence in getting out and doing the work. My goal is to start my business, grow, and give back. I’d like to be in a position to give back to other Disabled Veterans and the elderly who may not be in the same position as I am. I have 4 kids and a wife. Wife is in Real Estate which is my first plus lol. Thanks for the info guys and keep up the educational posts

Haven’t started because already ran into error hopefully some people here will be able to help.

Hey Jesse,
Welcome! I haven’t been here long myself, Search for topics and read them. Pay attention to what others have to say here. There is a priceless amount of information and advice here if you’re motivated to learn.
Good luck

Thank you. I have noticed that unless you know what you are looking for, what questions you want to ask, then its hard to find the information you need.
I 100% agree and have already found this out the hard way lol. I might make a post, down the road, with genera/beginner information. that way someone new, like me, can get the necessary basic information they need to form there own questions.
