It could be done but holy smokes what a constant pain in the butt it would be. Personally, I don’t know enough about the inner workings of pumps to know how long they would withstand it but I know the lubricity properties of SH is likely much different than water and that alone is going to wreak some havoc.
I think it would be cool to experiment with but by the time you do all that you probably could’ve built a booster pump setup that would reach heights no pressure pump will ever reach.
Superior longevity and it pulls like a freight train !!! I expect the 8gpm boys to be knocking on your door soon, But it takes these SH slingers a while to figure out a good thing when they see it. Their not as edumakated like us rubber scrubbers are. So be patient with these poor souls for they don’t know any better. To many circles on the old surface cleaner if ya know what I mean…
I remember that discussion, I think squid turned him on to them, but I never bothered to use them. When I was setting up my rig I was thinking KISS not variability. This will be my 4th year so I think it is time to reconsider what I am doing, and @dperez has me rethinking my rig entirely. I have a couple of more months until my season starts so I have time to figure it out.
Thanks for waking me up to the possibilities with this unit. I was thinking in simple terms of a more reliable injector as mine seem to go bad when not in use (even though they are always flushed). It takes me a long time to do wood restoration on big decks or wood houses solo, so the rig sits unused for awhile.
I can’t wait to get my hands on these injectors. I’d be ecstatic to get 1.5% and be able to do single passes on nasty gutters then just pop a tip back in and go back to doing vinyl.
This 100%. Can’t wait. I’m tired of yanking out the 12v for stubborn gutters. Many times I considered wiring a little bleach pump in synch with my DS remote to force feed mine.
You’ve peaked my interest! I wish I knew all of the daily struggles you guys have. I’m a retired truck washer so I only know half of what you guys deal with. I’ve read plenty here but never have I heard of the gutter issue. With my remote you could do three modes. House Wash mix, gutter mix and lastly feed water to the injector. Just spit balling here
Many gutters here haven’t been done before so multiple cycles of mold and algae growth coupled with whatever rolls over the lip adds up to some pretty stubborn stains. Lately I’ve been using a HP zero degree to blast off the looser stuff then hit 2-3 times with whatever strength my injector can muster.
Why do you not just brush them? Instead of hitting the really nasty ones multiple times, I just hit them, take a brush to them, rinse off the chunks and one more shot of hw mix. I’ve never used more than 1% to clean gutters. Brushes save a ton of time on them.
