NEW BULLETPROOF DS Injector has ARRIVED!

This injector was modeled to solve all the issues on the check valve side of it. The chemical flow rate only improved as a side effect. With a slight tweak during testing it’s now pulling a 5.9:1 but again I’m not chasing more chemical flow at the moment on this one. It was modeled and built to be the very first TRUE high pressure downstream injector. I say true because all the other injectors have issues with the tiny ball and itty bitty o-ring design and they were meant to be used on the vacuum side of the pump, not the high pressure side IMHO. Elastomers are not well suited to catch a speeding projectile AND handle the force of 4k psi pressing on its face  they will split, roll, tear etc.

Impressive. What size machine are you testing these on?

4.75 gpm so we should see an even richer rate on a 4 gpm

I’ll yank the generator belt and slow the pump down to push 4 gpm tonight when I’m back at the shop

Jeebus. Someone was recently talking about downstreaming roofs with a sacrificial 4gpm pump. You may very well make that a possibility.

Exciting times my man :upside_down_face: Just wait until I can give you an injector that will do that same ratio with an 8gpm!

If you do that Envirospec may put a hit out on you

I’m well armed, well trained and always ready

They will fill you order with cans of cat food and then charge you additional for shipping

Thanks, you just reminded me I’m out of cat food. She’s my first line of defense lol

I’m either tired or stupid. If my GP hi draw gets me about 20 percent so about .8-1 net on a house, would this thing be putting close to 4 net on a house at 8 gpm with the numbers you posted on the 4 gpm one?

I really wanted this injector, since my machine sits unused when doing wood houses or decks, but that is too high for me. I’m guessing with those high numbers you are going to sell a proportioning system too? I think you mentioned it before.

Edited math

If he’s hitting those numbers, am I wrong in thinking buy a 4gpm unit with this injector to do roofs with? Not sacrificial at all, plus I would have 2 units on the trailer. Great back up and even better for some decks that I don’t want to flood the yard with my 8gpm.

Yeah, the other thread was discussing upstreaming thru a sacrificial 4gpm AR pump or something of the like. The flip side is that pushing a high concentration of SH through your standard 1 wire hose is going to shorten it’s life exponentially. The same goes for 95% of the reels on the market. Then it becomes cost prohibitive.

With this injector, you’re not doing any of that and if a guy could even get a reliable 2% mix with just a simple injector swap these things would sell like street tacos outside the local watering hole at 2am. It could be game-changing.

Also, @Innocentbystander has used those small proportioning tips in the end of his DSI hose to control how much SH is actually pulled into the system. A guy could run that same setup with this new injector for a standard house wash and then simply pull out that tip and immediately have a much stronger mix for stucco, etc.

All’s I know is I have the excitements.

I don’t have any cats. They’ll steal your soul.

I have been wanting to get a mini pot belly pig but I haven’t figured out how to smooth that over with the boss yet.

You’re absolutely right! You want the most chemical you can pull and then you’ll just meter it down. I would suggest a Kynar, CPVC, PTFE or Polypropylene needle valve. If you want to do the metering tip route the barb will be internally threaded to do just that.

Kynar is good stuff. Had a shooter tip made out of that and it was sweet. Until I didn’t seat it all the way and it shot into a brick wall three feet away.

Ooh, I like the idea of that being threaded so you can just pop the hose off, unscrew that thing and hose right back on without having to fish the hose out of the bleach drum, slinging straight SH from Hell to breakfast, ruining my Crocs and making me smell for the rest of the day.

I’m in. Where can I order?

I’ve been slacking on the website so I’ll just email you an invoice. Should be just few weeks

That’s so weird you mention it because I was shooting the breeze with a pretty smart guy that asked that same question. “Could you have extra pumps on hand and run bleach through the water side too to increase the SH percentage?” He wanted to know how fast I’d go through the pumps. We were discussing this over a few beers and talking about my SH distribution And logistics woes.
