New box truck... Need help with equipment arrangement

Crazy quick. It dumps 50 gallons in about 20 seconds. Way cheaper than a hydrant meter too. They want something like $600/mo for a hydrant meter around here. I said naw.

Thatā€™s a deal! Be sure to tell them extra bacon fat for the fat kid

No. Iā€™m looking for the exact head lamp you got. I got the same 18650 lithium you have. But wrong lamp I guess. But Iā€™m not complaining, there super bright. I just couldnā€™t find the same one you got. 110 degrees

Thatā€™s got to be just for the one time deposit, all my meters are billed monthly for the water used. Nothing expensive month to month, just the cost of the water around $4 per 1k gallons

Yeah, but, but. You got 258 more lumens than I  ā€¦Iā€™m addicted to the lumens man.

I could have misunderstood what they were saying. I have a customer that owns an excavation company and he has to water down about a half mile of gravel road in the dry months because its adjacent to the interstate and he told me he was spending about $1,500/mo to use his hydrant meter. I think its significantly higher here than where you are.

Ouch, that must be the case

You actually have more lumens than I in a smaller area with your narrower beam

Oof. I was a bit off. Deposit is $170 and itā€™s $4.37/1000 gallons plus an additional $5.00/day so it would cost me $150/mo to not use it at all. I have sworn myself to turning down jobs where there is not a reliable water source. My customer likely spends that much because he has trucks in and out all day long and Iā€™m sure they water the road multiple times a day

Ahh. Now I get it. Makes complete sence. Bright but not as wide.

Thatā€™s a steal on the deposit. Mine were all $750-$1,200

Thats highway robbery !

Geez. I feel for you man. Other than the money aspect I donā€™t want to get in bed with any city or municipality where Iā€™m using their equipment. I feel like if I break something they basically get to name their price to fix or replace it.

8.34 Lb per gallon.

Yes, I understand the weight of water. Am I missing something here?

Sorry, I havenā€™t read much of this current thread, but I do want to offer this:

In my opinion, that thread is ā€œbox truck gospelā€, and it will probably answer a lot of questions for you. Plus, @GuyB is an excellent source of info and very helpful to talk to.
