I have tried it. that is why I know without any doubt or hesitation in saying it, you are giving bad advice. There is a lot more money to be made washing than $80 to $100 an hour id you are efficient and use the correct equipment.
So you need a hotter mix than what a DS injector will deliver? I would think using an x-jet would still be more efficient than a 12v system.
GPM is king. The faster you can get the solution onto your substrate, and the faster you can rinse it off, the more efficient youâll be.
No 12v system that I know of delivers 8gpm. A 7gpm fatboy is only putting out 4-5 gpm by the time it overcomes the backpressure from hoses and such.
To be fair, he is in Florida. Thatâs like $125-$150 US Dollars
Youâre not comprehending what we are all telling you. We donât use our pressure washers to wash homes at high pressure. We use our pressure washers to apply chemicals at very low pressure and rinse at very low pressure. Youâve been in the business for 20 years according to your bio. It is unfathomable to me that you canât grasp what we are all saying. Nozzles/tips dictate how much pressure is coming out of the end of the trigger gun. Nothing more. With the appropriate nozzles I can apply soap at the same or maybe even lower pressure than your 12v or air setup can.
And i thought 12v pumps were toys
Ok, what it sounds like to me, is that you tried downstreaming for a little while, maybe with some weak bleach, and had lackluster results. But the fact is, most people here have to actually water their mix down before downstreaming because the bleach is so strong.
I canât imagine how many batteries I would need to keep a half dozen or so 12v pumps running 7 or 8 hours non stop every day lol.
No needâŚ
U can hookit up to your 7 pin connectorâŚ
To your truck batteryâŚ
To your generatorâŚ
Hey dont forget⌠solar cells!!!
Not to mention the other 10 you have to keep on hand for your redneck âwelderâ. At that point you might as well buy stock.
Dying
I bit the bullet this weekend and bought batteries for the golf cart. I donât want to but any more batteries for hot minute now.
Will be interesting to hear how much more time or miles you get out of them compared to the deep cycle. I donât know squat about electric cars but Iâm guessing theyâll be more than worth it.
Kinda hard to give apples to oranges comparison but basically:
30 minutes of non stop driving in four 12v batteries drained them to 60% remaining and 30hours or recharge time. Same time driving in six 8v batteries left 75% remaining and 45 minutes to recharge using on board charger. Solar panel should keep it charged up between weekend visits.
Even worse when you have no cores to trade in
I never charged my battery once. I have a small solar battery charger hooked up that cost 40 bucks that keeps it well charged. It runs 2 electric reels, my soft washer and electric start for my PW. It hasent died one time.
I done PW for 15 years before I started soft washing. I can only give you the advice from experience. It cost a bit more to run but the time you save easily absorbs the cost and here in Florida you dont want to be out all day waiting for down-streaming at a 10 to 1 bleach mixture. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to empty a 2.5 gal straight SH. With a Soft wash setup and a zero nozzle I can shoot 40 feet and spray out 1 gallon in 10 seconds if I choose. In Florida most homes are 1 story and I can soft-wash a roof from the ground. To rinse I use my 8 gpm PW with a zero tip and it shoots over 70 feet.
A two story house takes about 1 hour to clean and about 1 hour 30 minutes to clean the roof but there are few of them around here. A 2500 foot 1 story home takes about 1 1/2 hours and the roof takes about 2 1/2 hours. Together much lest time and will bring in 500 or more easy.
Our SH runs about 12% in Florida. If I set my dial on the Pro Portioner to 8% and my water at 100% I will be shooting a 50/50 solution. If I need stronger I just place my water at 50 and iâll get 66% sh. The downfall is when you do roofs you need a helper. it takes about 15 minutes to set up and cover the plants and run my tubes off the downspouts to the road.
You are rambling at this point. We all agree a 12v is needed for roofs. For washing houses it is unproductive, inefficient, counter intuitive and unnecessary.

Lol. Which one?
