Need advice on my first tank set up

You should have no problem with flow with that setup. Be careful with the weight. A.275 gallon tank filled with water will weigh about 2400 pounds without any other equipment.

With my 275 gallon tank Iā€™m trying to mark the gallons per water level. Letā€™s say for example I measure one foot from the bottom of the tank. How many gallons approximately would that be?

You have the 275. It should be marked. Then if you have to, since the tank is essentially a cube, measure from bottom of tank itself to the 275gal mark. Then take that measurement and split it in half, mark it on tank and that will be to your 137.5gal mark, split that and thats the 68.75gal, and so on.

I have a 275 on one of the trailers. its about 48 high. That would give you a little less then 70 gallons or about 18 minutes.

My head hurts reading all this

This is what I said.

I was asking about the bleach solution because a lot of the newer PW guys dont understand why they have a soft wash setup when you can blow out the bleach with a tank setup.

Another words some of the new guys cant figure out why have a soft wash to blow out a 50/50 bleach solution when its easier to run it through a holding and shoot it out with the PW. The dont know you cant run that much bleach through the pump.

No idea what that means. Downstreaming with a pressure washer is the preferred softwash method for most. A 12v softwash system offers the ability to have a much higher sh level. Itā€™s need for roofs, and some stone/brick situations.

that could be the most ridiculous statement I ever heard. Its called soft wash for a reason or else its pressure washing. You dont soft wash with a pressure washer. I live in Florida and all we have is continuous mold. I wash my customers homes every other year and there Lanais and driveways every year. If I was to do a pressure wash with downstreaming using about 10 to 1 SH coming out, i would need some pretty good pressure to get the mold off. The white on the Lanai cage would be silver in 5 years. With softwash no pressure needed. I apply it and rinse it with a 60psi pump. I have 4 tanks. One for downstreaming, one SH, one surfactant and 1 water. I use Applewash now because it goes on with a purple tint and is a great marker and foams nice with a good hang time. When the purple disappears its time to rinse. I can go from house to roof to almost anything not have to worry about different mixing solutions with a Pro Portioner.

I dunnoā€¦seems like most everyone on this site uses a pressure washer to soft wash homes. When using the correct tips, of course.

This may be the most ridiculous ever. Soft washing using a pressure washer is by far, the most efficient way of cleaning with low pressure. Absolutely no pressure is needed to remove mold with a pressure washer using a down stream injector on siding or painted surfaces. If you do not know how to wash correctly, that is not a big deal. You are at the right place to learn. But, donā€™t give incorrect advice to possible new guys here by telling them that washing with a 12v or air system is the only way to soft wash. That is just asinine. If you want to wash a shingled roof, get a 12v or something similar. If you are washing buildings, 8gpm is king.

After using my 12v to wash a roof I canā€™t see why anyone would ever prefer to use one over a pressure washer to wash a house.

They get sucked into the sales pitch by silky shirted salesmen wearing faux tilley hats and donā€™t want to admit they were snookered.

Oh you were THAT kidā€¦

Just kidding. Different strokes for different crocodiles or something like that

Read my dadā€™s book. I literally dropped out of kindergarten to work lol. I worked every afternoon and Saturday since about six years old. Dad went to college on a baseball scholarship but I want allowed to play sports because I was supposed to work with Dad. Iā€™m not bitter about much in life but a lost childhood is hard to forget and forgive. But this took a serious sidestep and I should be thankful for a work ethic I guess

Pretty sure youā€™re living at least part of your childhood now. Good for you Sir. We each have a different path in life, often not easy.

Damn, bud. I hate to hear that. I didnā€™t have the storybook childhood that some folks had either. I have 6 adopted nieces and nephews and it warms my heart to know that they have every opportunity to be kids now that they never wouldā€™ve had before. You turned out okay in my book if thatā€™s worth anything to ya.

I choose to go softwash. I was making 50-60 dollars and hour with over a 3000 customer database. and had to run 2 or 3 trucks a day to do it. Now I only have to run 2 trucks at most and i make between 80 and 100 an hour. Soft washing cut my job time 33% and my 3000 psi 8gpm cut my DW time in half. You still need the work and if you dont have it any system will do. Dont let anybody blow smoke up your ā€¦ soft wash is the way to go. Now if you dont have the money to set it up thats another story but never trying it and telling people you could do it with a Pressure Washer is insane.

I donā€™t think youā€™re understanding what people are trying to tell you. You can take any high pressure pump and have water come out at low pressure depending on what nozzles you use. Low pressure is low pressure, period. Using a pressure washer to soft wash more efficient than a 12 volt. To each his own though.

Just curious. How long does it take you to wash a basic two story house with a 12 volt? How high can you reach?
