Mixing Help

Same idea as that injector that Squid has been recommending and a lot of guys started using. He even converted IBS over to one. I’m still using my High Draw but have been thinking about getting one. Main reason is you don’t have to mix water and SH for house wash mix. Just add Elemonator and go to work.

Are you serious? Where is this thread? If I could just throw my drop tube in a 15 gallon pail of SH with a bit of surfactant in there I’d be so happy. Mixing isn’t even hard but I still hate to do it.

Wow. I have no idea how I missed that video or thread. I was just daydreaming of this the other day. Looks like I have new reading material. Thanks!!!

I have problems with the tips breaking off of those injectors ,especially in cold weather, that’s why we just use tips now at the bottom of my chem lines. Always faithful.no mixing anything

Your injector is pulling 17:1, so if you are pulling 100% straight soap, it would be

100(percent soap) x 1/17 = 5.88% soap out of the nozzle.

you want to reduce it to 1% correct? for a 100:1 final ratio

so you want to reduce the strength of the mixture that you are pulling out of to about 18%

18 (percent soap) x 1/17 = 1.06%

there are 128 ounces per gallon and you will need 23 ounces per gallon to reach 18%

128 (ounces in a gallon) x 0.18 (decimal form of percentage) = 23

if you want a 5 gallon bucket of mix you will need 23 x 5 ounces or 115 ounces.

Lets Check our work:
5 x 128 = 640 ounces in 5 gallon bucket

115 ounces of soap divided by 640 total ounces = 0.1796

0.1796 x 100 = 17.96 % soap in your 5 gallon mixture

17.96% x 1/17 (your injetor’s actual ratio) = 1.06% soap out of your nozzle.

Let me know if i made a mistake! definitely likely.

I’m a little tired and read the whole thread but did you guys finally get it figured out that ratios are the same. It doesn’t matter if it’s liters or gallons or whatever. A ratio is a ratio.

On the other hand I never would have thought to put a proportioner in the drop tube. That seems pretty clever. Thanks fleet washer dudes.
