Mixing Help

I gave a guy a possible opportunity on a couple of companies that he could get some fleet work with. He said he was going to send me some soap and if he won the contract he was going to send me $500. Today I got the soap. It is Nerta Jumbo, 5 liter jug. It says to apply at 100:1. My Down Stream Injector is pulling at 17:1. How many ounces of soap do I put in a 5 gallon jug to get me at/around 100:1. I have this dilution ratio chart but that is more for mixing.

Or am I over thinking this and just put in a proportioner at the end of my drop tube and get close to 100:1?

My blue proportioner pulls at 75:1 and I stopped there because I was never going below that. But the next one is brown (med) and I can assume it’s close to 100:1 before I do some actual testing

There saying 100:1 in liters I’m assuming . You gotta convert liters to gallons and what not. Nerta is canuck soap. Ask @anon37135677 … You’ll be all bass ackwards with your ratio if you don’t.

shouldn’t matter if it’s liters or gallons right? If I am pulling 1 part product to 100 parts water it shouldn’t matter. Or am I off here

I mean yeah it definitely matters. 1 litres is not equal to 1 gallon so the ratios don’t work out at all.

But our injectors aren’t specific to liters or gallons. It’s all parts. 15:1, 10:1, 17:1…parts:soap

I’ve heard good things ABOOT the Nerta though…

Go at 25:1 and do a test

This guy gets it from Belgium

Dunno …

Our injectors are all rated, or whatever the word is, for gallons. So, you’ll have to convert liters to gallons and then you’ll have your ratio. 1 part in gallons is not the same volume as 1 part in litres.

You’ve got me questioning myself now.

Then again. :joy:

But it makes sense thought right? parts:water whether it’s gallons or liters…haha Damn, now I am going to do some research and testing tomorrow

Call that number on the bottom. :joy:

Lots of good videos on the you tube thingy about Nerta.if it’s good @25:1 ,go higher, and if it works at 30:1 as a true one step, then pack your bags , cuz we Goin to BELGIUM bubby! LOL

I’ve watched quite a few so far. Hoping I would catch ratios (gallons/liters/parts)

Lots of the videos are in @AUSSIE neck of the world, he might have good intel…

Belgium, Canada, potato, tomato.

Swap out maple syrup and Canadian bacon for chicken and waffles. Same thing.

No, the parts absolutely have to be defined in order to actually hone in on what the ratio truly is. That is, unless you are also going to measure your parts water in the same method. So 100gal of water to 1gal of chem is the same ratio as 100liters of water to 1liter of chem but your overall volume is drastically different. Your injector is tested and rated for gallons so you would need to convert liters to gallons to understand what your actual percentages hitting the substrate actually are.

Or, do a bucket test and convert your results from gallons per minute to liters per minute and do it that way.

Hell, I don’t know. I just mix SH and water and surfactant in a 5 gallon bucket and wash things.
