Just spent a god portion of my day hunting down fuel line stuff and 1/4 inch fittings for the 12 gallon tank.
I spent more time than i would care to admit transferring my two 55 gallon barrels of SH i bought in Washington to my 55 gallon olive barrel off the truck, picked the empty barrel up out of the back of my truck and then in my driveway and re transferred using this ryobi transfer pump. The thing worked like a champ though a bit slow but in a perfect world you arent doing that much transferring. This thing is really convenient and hopefully it holds up. I rinsed it afterwards of course.
Couldnt find a battery with 400 CCA so bought a lawnmower battery with 350 CCA at 32 degrees. Hopefully that works. @Innocentbystander uses a cheap battery so id assume this is what hes talking about.
I will be trying to start this honda gx690 for the first time tomorrow. Is there anything i should know for the first startup? Will water prime on its own, or do i need to put some water in the 3/4 return? any tricks or something i should know before trying?

Fill your buffer tank as high as you can to get a bit decent head pressure then start the engine at low throttle and let it run until you don’t see any more air bubbles in the line then you can spin it up.
Had the same Ryobi pump and used it the same way, and yea rinsed liberally after each use, lasted 1 month. Bought another, got about 2 months out of it
Ended up getting a dedicated 12v bleach pump for SH transfer
I will get something set up involving a dedicated transfer pump. I apparently ordered a ton of 3/4 barbed camlocks instead of 1/2 barbed so have a bunch of useless banjo fittings currently.
@Firefighter4hire would you be interested in any trades involving my 3/4 barbed camlocks for 1/2 inch barbed ones? Would like to have ones with caps that would keep fittings from leaking bleach when plugged up. Would be a waste to have to purchase more at this point. I have a bag full of them.
I was told to force feed my pump with house hose pressure on the initial start up. It helped possibly breaking an initial gap that the static pressure of the tank will not over come. Obviously very quickly as the house gpm will not keep up
Welp. Today was a doozie. Currently stretching out all my hose as it’s coiled tighter than a snare drum. Started unpacking everything and found a few presents to myself from the long long ago. Apparently I bought an m5 twist for an 8-12gpm as well as a few different nozzle sizes for the aqua pro.
Which sizes do you guys use? I believe off the top of my head I got 4.5 and 5.0 nozzles (2 tip bar) but am away from my truck currently.
On the left side of this beast I think I’m going to use some scrap wood to attach to those metal pieces with self tapping screws to be able to rout some of my hosing or mounting different things. Maybe even get crazy and attach e track there.
Still trying to figure everything out. Slowly but surely making it.
As of right now I am currently hung up on the short shot of hose that goes from reel to buffer tank. Such a dumb thing to be hung up on but can’t find any smaller jumper hoses locally so will have to order online. So dumb but that’s what I get for not thinking ahead.
Have installed this bad boy but have like 8 pre purchased 2.1 injectors if it acts up @dperez
It Almost looks like I know what I’m doing. That return line needs to be away from muffler and fuel tank is still finding a home but aside from that and the mess it’s coming along. Hoping to be somewhat operational before I leave for work this Friday and 2 weeks from that when I’m “off” work, I have at least 3 high ticket jobs waiting for me and possibly one biggun’ for a tidy sum. If all goes as planned (but does it ever? ) It’s going to be a great start to the beginning of the season.

Dang you’re too good. I pulled that bad boy out today and was like “why is the shiny flaking off?” And went to grab that same fitting off my cox reel but couldn’t remove it… apparently it wasn’t really stainless. It was a sham. Everything I know is/was a lie!
Have ordered more stainless stuff and hopefully it’s actually good but am running this to at least test drive that baby.
In regards to the new seal and such no such luck. I don’t know if you have tracking or not but nothing has made it here yet.
Lol that’s too funny! Don’t feel too bad, it was a first for me on even seeing a chrome plated version. I can tell you right now that one is straight Chinesium. It should be brass and they will have pulled way too much off of it machining that one down. They like to keep as much scrap off of it as they can. Be careful with that one! I don’t like it I’ll see what I have for a ship date on your seal and PM you. Don’t worry the one you have now is great the new one is to CMA
If I go missing you guys know the truth! I may have used this to clean plastic out of an ibc tote? Notice painters tape then the gorilla tape to hide evidence.
Decided to test out some of the connections. The new 100ft hose was leaking from where it’s pressed. Luckily I had an extra on hand. Hopefully I can get them to replace that.
Ok, one fire put out. The reel was leaking at the swivel. Ok…re tape and try again. Better but not still there. That main connection just doesn’t seem to want to go in very far. Just pulled everything off and Teflon and pipe doped it. Letting it set and will see how it shakes out once it’s cured.
Using two nipples on the injector may have you installing it backwards one day since you can’t see the nozzle too well down the hole. I know I know laser etch them and that problem would disappear. You could hard plumb it
was hoping youd catch that! That was before i was in a foul mood. It got worse as the day progressed.
Did you like my makeshift laser etching? Orange Sharpie would probably save you a ton of emails and/or copy and paste for when youre selling these bad boys
