Did you buy a condition 1 or condition 2 truck from them. Just curious.
Condition 1. Took extra pains to find one that was condition 1. Was so funny. They made me sign that big, evil contract without being able to pre inspect, but when I was using it against them they drug their feet 
If you’re thinking of buying from them, keep in mind that their prices are negotiable. I was able to knock off 2000 off asking price and then get them to replace some stuff in top that they were obligated to so just be aware they have wiggle room.

Thanks, there are a ton of them for sale in PA. Yours had a backup camera it appears, but all the ones I looked at don’t have them. They have a ton of fleet vehicles.
On the website it said it didn’t have a backup camera but I was pleasantly surprised it did. I would assume you’d want customers to have them in order to keep the truck safer but that might make too much sense
My buddy picked it up from this shop and I am absolutely mortified. I don’t know if I’m being picky or if proper expectations were not set. What are your thoughts on this?
I am seeing the original Penske yellow everywhere and look at the bubbling around the buttons covering the bolts. The top of the front door lip is yellow and the wrap looks uneven. Does this look acceptable? To me it certainly doesn’t. Looks like I’m calling them Monday morning. Man…if it isn’t one thing, it’s another!

Thanks for posting that. It convinces me to give a quick and dirty repaint before I would wrap it if I go that way, or to buy a white one.

You might be suffering from new vehicle owner syndrome. I’m not dismissing your concerns, I would have a tendency to be pissed if I paid good money for something and found it wanting in any way. Looks like they didn’t do hardware removal and wrapped around it in places. The worst part is behind the cab in Pic 3, that looks like they just cut it short and said f it. In pic 8 I see efflorescence on the block wall to the right of the truck

You are probably the only person, outside some friends or a professional that would notice most of that. I doubt any customer would ever notice it. Maybe if they can’t fix it, get them to match some green and blue paint and touch it up if it bothers you or get some cash back. Are you staying with black on the bumper/step? I’d sand and repaint all of that. If it is your baby then you might want to put new reflective tape on it. Just don’t buy the cheap knockoff stuff, it doesn’t last as long and their adhesives don’t last. The 3M reflective DOT stuff was really good the last time I used it.
It is still eye catching and I like it.

I know what you mean with potentially being too critical and most not seeing the difference. My biggest concern is that once it’s up here, I’m on my own. It’s not like I can take a quick road trip back to Vegas and have warranty work done so it needs to be done right the first time. The biggest thing I’m worried about is longevity of the wrap, not that there’s the few issues if that makes sense. I would expect that for 5 grand, I would (and do) expect better quality. The yellow showing everywhere while liveable just irks me because with a lot of it, I think they just didn’t give an f like you said. Those bubbles/delamination…if it’s that bad and it’s been 2 days I’m concerned about it continuing. I would think they would have cut it instead of what they did.
Pic 7 looks like they used an adhesive tape to keep the wrap from peeling and even as a guy who knows nothing about the technical side of wraps that looks janky as hell.
I’m going to call them Monday and see how they explain it to me and most importantly their tone, because that is going to dictate what happens next. I kinda feel over a barrel as I feel like I’m putting a lot of pressure on my buddy to keep having him and his wife drive 2 vehicles to and from Vegas (100 miles) and then I dont have time to screw around going back and forth hemming and hawing while my washing season goes by.
This has certainly been an adventure, that’s for sure.

Yeah that black paint is a sore subject for me. That’s included in the level 1 condition and look what wasn’t done.
When I get home I will be sanding and repainting as it’s a quick job and I really don’t want to let rust to get a stronghold on anywhere in this thing. I’m sure it’s inevitable but I’d like to start off on the right foot. To me from good work, to good relationships, it all starts with a solid foundation

Well, that is always the problem not using local services, not that you probably have a plethora of wrap services available to you. I feel you, I would be worried too with the temp changes and driving, if it bubbles and burst does it start rolling up or flaking.
I feel like your hanging off the ledge over a barrel full of poop, but as they say, this will pass too. In two years you will be like why did I get so worked up over this. Don’t get me wrong, if I give someone 5k that is supposed to be a pro, I want a pro job. I don’t think they could do diddly about that yellow overspray on the gasket for the roll up, they don’t wrap that. Unless you gave them extra to paint the hardware and remove yellow overspray. In that case I would want a refund on that stuff. Just clean the gasket or replace it. Might need to be a little aggressive with the chem choice for automotive overspray. Maybe lacquer thinner on the gasket, but it might dry it, not sure, wouldn’t want to make a recommendation without due diligence.
I would just get them to give you the color#'s or some appropriate paint to touch up spots. Most wraps aren’t perfect. They should have done a better job on bolts, If it’s too much trouble for your buddy, with a heat gun and old credit card you can fix those yourself in less than a min each.

I fly down right after my 2 week hitch is done on March 24th and will see what all I can do with it. I’ll be mostly focused on plumbing because I won’t have as instant access up here to little parts as I will down there but I’m sure I can figure something out.
Overall still very excited and ready to begin this second year!
Alright. 2 week hitch on boat completed. Time sheet shows 181 hours straight pay plus 39 hours overtime in that period. Was off work at 0000 and at the airport by 0300. Kids and my better half have been randomly projectile ejecting out both ends with some sort of stomach bug and apparently there was a huge issue with poor kids in first and second grade classes all doing that in one day. Poor teachers, kids, and sanitation guys on what sounds like an awful day at the office
That means I didn’t see them or visit and have decided not to go home so only bringing my sea bag and rolling with that I have in my backpack rather than risk vomiting and rocketing yoohoo out the backend during this time sensitive road trip.
Trip to Seattle was uneventful and am currently sitting in airport trying not to sleep until I get on the plane.
Next stop…VEGAS BABY!
