Infinity Cleaning Mobile 3.0, aka Truck Norris

@Infinity that’s awesome…looks like I’ll be ordering that hose…lol…now just gotta build the rest of the system…
Did you build your own 12v pump system and flow controller or buy one?

I got a 2ish gpm 12v pump, and a cheap pwm controller off amazon. Something like this:

If you’ve ever put together a 12v pump for roof cleaning, you should have the basic idea of what to do. Nice thing about the smaller pumps is, less current draw, so no need for those pesky relays. And the pumps last a long time when you’re only running water through them

You are doing the WFP right, I made the switch to 3/8 id earlier this year off your recommendation and the difference was huge. Now I can run 4 pencils and a rinse bar if I wanted too. You’re going to like that hose. Looks good.

Emptied my tank faster than usual today, that’s for sure. But I got just as many windows cleaned as I usually do at this monster job I do twice a year.

More flow= faster rinsing. If only more window cleaners would catch on to this basic power washing principle :smirk:

…hmm, now I’m curious how many gallons of pure water I would need to run through a softwash setup before it would safely leave spot free results? I’ve got a few commercial accounts where I would love to flow 3-4+ gpm to a 18” or larger rinse-bar frankenbrush.

Finally getting my softwash set up.

…For anyone that’s curious, a 12” titan reel is sufficient for holding 250’ of 1/2” softwash hose.

Do you have room to mount a receiver somewhere higher and more convenient for your vice? Im liking the idea mines bolted to my trailer but it sucks i need to get a better vice.

So far I haven’t found a better location for it. I use the vise so rarely that I really don’t mind the location. Just glad I have it when I need it.

Are you a Lefty ?

I am. I would’ve preferred the cranks on the right, though. I try to do as much with my right arm as possible due to some repetitive strain issues from window cleaning.

I mounted the reels in the most space-efficient way I could.

I’ll never buy hand crank reels again for this very reason. I use my left hand mostly, but I write and do anything with dexterity with my right hand. So doing anything caveman-ish with my right like cranking reels is weird and uncomfortable.

I would love to devise a way to crank both of these manual reels with one motor, that takes up no space and weighs next to nothing, lol.

If you could do that you could retire

I’m a Lefty as well, but do everything right handed except eat and write. Left handed ppl are in there right mind. Lol

That’s because you need two hands to shove those 300 pound hamburgers down your throat.

Sorry it’s been so long since an update.

Finally getting a ladder rack fabbed this week, and getting the tanks dropped.

This made me all nostalgic for the old days…

Stopped by the shop to drop off the new truck box along with my sectional ladders that will be riding on top of it. Got a quick glimpse of the progress.

I paid $420.89 plus tax for the box. Scared to see what the fabricator is going to charge for all of their work :grimacing::laughing:

Also, the product pics don’t do the Buyers Products truck box justice. It’s beautiful, and heavy duty. I had previously ordered a box off fleabay that arrived damaged. It was super thin and flimsy feeling, and at a higher price, to boot. Sent it right back for a full refund and got this one, instead.

I think dropping the tanks like that is going to be soooo worth it. After they fab the pan that goes under the tanks, I should end up with around 7-7.5” of drop. That will lower the center of gravity significantly, as well as reduce wind resistance. MPG should go up a little, and handling will improve. Not to mention, it just looks better

Should definitely help the swaying back and forth .
