Real talk @Infinity where does this build stand? Curious to see how it finished.

Kind of hung up from lack of funding at the moment. I’ll have to wait till probably the middle of May to get some of the custom fab work I want done: aluminum half-rack, stainless straps for tanks, and finishing the steel subframe for when I sink the water tanks into the bed.

Currently, I have the pressure washer all plumbed, and electric reels wired up. Did my first job with it last week.

Electric reels rock. Working from an actual chem tank that doesn’t require (re)filling on-site rocks. I’m gonna love working off this rig.

I’m looking forward to the first window job that I can ask the customer on the spot, “would you like housewash with that?” Like they do in McD’s for fries, lol.

Today I’m working on getting my WFP up and running. I have my first combo housewash & exterior window job this coming Monday.

A couple recent details of the build:

Nice man I know all about the funding haha spent so much money this year before I made a $. What’s that second pic about? What’s the purpose of that second hose in there?

Same here.

That’s my buffer tank. Clear hose is my unloader bypass line, green hose goes to the 3-way valve on my injector, so I can rinse it out at the end of a job.

Also, if you look real closely at the two tanks, you’ll see the water is right up to the top of the buffer tank.

Ahh ok I see it now was more thrown off about the green hose. Looking good man!

Working on weatherproof enclosure for electronics and pumps. Wanted to be easily removable. Mission accomplished :sunglasses:

Were did you get that cool green hose going to the injector? That’s pretty neat looking

It’s some old 1/4” polyurethane air hose I had laying around.

Turns out it’s a little soft for ds hose. For the first time, I had to put hose clamps on my ds injector and 3-way valve so it would stop dripping.

Some random small updates on the build:

I reworked my supply-side plumbing a bit. A little more tidy. It’ll look even better when I have a proper pole holder and I don’t have to cram it between the hose and tank the way it is in the pic:

Here’s my solution to having a splitter at the reel without losing any flow:

Added bonus, it flushes out the strainer at the same time.

My enclosure for pumps and other electronics (have to add more stuff still - lots of free space)

Oh, and I finally found a local source for crush proof hose. It’s a place called Runnings. I think it was around $1.50/ft.

This rig has been lifechanging. I know it’s helping close jobs, and getting more leads. It’s awesome to work off of.

And if you’re an owner-operator like me, get yourself some electric reels

Looks like I should shorten my mudflaps. It’s not good when you back over them…

Is that pump for your WFP or roof cleaning rig?

That’s my wfp pump. Soft wash pump coming shortly-ish. Will probably be a 5.5.

Not planning to do any roof cleaning, but I see enough dirty stucco/dryvit around here that I’d like to be able to clean effectively.

It’s a smoother ride than I thought. This 5 foot lance made a 30 mile trip with hills and freeway driving with nothing but gravity holding it here.

Vice finally mounted:

Two sets of holes for the hitch pin, so I can slide it out to use it, and tuck it out of the way when I’m not using it.

New flexzilla wfp hose installed.

Getting there little by little :smirk:

@Infinity so you have around 200ft of 3/8 and then you stepped it down to 1/4 for 20ft or so…I like it…I don’t know anything about WFP’s is that how it’s normally done or are ya just trying something new? Any advantages more water supply?..I was thinking about getting one for doing solar panels

I’ve got 250’ of 3/8”, and about 40’ of 3/16” pole hose.

Prior to this morning, I was running 100’ of 3/8”, ~125’ or so of 1/4”, and 40’ of pole hose.

The 1/4” was getting pretty ragged and was due for replacement. I originally started out with 300’ of the 1/4”, and had to keep cutting off sections as I got leaks, lol.

The flow is noticeably improved with the new hose. It really helps to have that flow available if you use a rinse bar on your wfp brush. I may even need to dial back my flow controller a bit now.

On a weird side note: I wish they shipped pressure hose on plastic spools like this. It made winding it onto the reel so easy ‘cause all I had to do was run a pole through the middle and suspend it on either side to let the spool spin freely.
