FYI @pinghlii its also important to mix your chemicals with good water. 100 tds or below is ideal, so check your water quality. If it sucks then an RV water softener is what you’ll want, I bought the mark 8000 from flow pur. If you have hard water and mix it with your chemicals it will drastically reduce your cleaning power.
@Hotshot @GeorgeNicholson All great advice guys. Noted and will be using all these tips.
Curious about this…. I’m going on a year of washing and getting my setup together.
I pull sh from a 55 gal flat bottom tank that’s plumbed through the top with bullhead. In the beginning I mixed surfactant in my sh tank. Hate it when it comes to refilling up my tank and the suds it makes. So I stopped. Just downstream sh.
But there are times I’d like a surfactant.
What can I do to add surfactant to my downstream without mixing it in my sh?!?! And still only use a single ds injector?!?!
Here you go, @ddeblance:
Please be advised that the tiny soap proportioning tips clog extremely easily. You should incorporate some type of strainer into your soap pickup tube.
Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle will take care of the foam bubbles but if it’s foaming a lot you’re adding too much surfactant to begin with
Oh man! Why did you post this? You know @Infinity is in his shed working on an alcohol injection surfactant tank now. Lol
Why don’t you just run a hydromixer and a Miguel soza injector problem solved
But that mix creates chloroform
No it doesn’t. No where near the percentages needed. See what happens when you post and it isn’t Sunday
Add some SH then soap and finish filling with SH. If you put the soap in a near empty tank then fill you’ll get more suds. Use less soap as @Innocentbystander said too. If your adding water you’ll get a ton of suds.
I put extra soap in because I like the bubbles. I make piles of soap bubbles and run through them, my customers love to watch.
So you put your soap in with the 12.5% Sh? If so what soap are you using? I’m with you I want to add soap to my hw mix but not sure the best way to do it.
Elemonator or Slo Mo works for soap.
