Flexzilla supply hose and mold

Had my Flexzilla Hose now for 10 months now. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! AAMOF, Flexzilla was the only hose brought by a vendor to The Huge Convention last month.

@mark44, I wonder if you aren’t the victim of Chinese one-offs, maybe Trexzilla Hose.

But seriously, you must be talking about mildew, not mold. If your hose gets moldy, you may not be using it enough. I use my Flexzilla hose (thanks to @Racer who introduced me to it) at least 200 days per year, wipe it often multiple times in a day, and I’ve never noticed any stain besides the occasional mud that’s so thick it leaves a stain for the next time I wipe it down

I like that big D ring for holding your hose. Where’s you find that? I’ve always just used a bungie but it’s a pita sometimes.

racer, that appears to be a bag holder. You clip bags to it and use it as a handle.

I have never seen such a clean array. Makes me wonder how often it gets out to work
Nonetheless, a beautiful setup!

I am on the Atlantic coast and we have humidity. Plenty to go around. Can happen overnight, it’s that bad.
Notice the reel is in good shape. The hose is not.
Also notice the pressure hose is fine and the supply hose is not.

FAKE news!

Just kidding. Thats some serious mildew. Do you clean your hoses off when your done or atleast roll them up with a rag?

It’s funny, all other supply (garden hose) don’t have this problem. Something about the Flexilla that makes it more suceptible to mildew/mold.
I wont buy it again. It was a waste of money. Junk!
I have some Goodyear rubber hose that has absolutely no issues.
I am just disputing all the hype on the flexilla hose.
I purchased it based on reviews, and I was completely let down by the product.
Not suitable for this industry.
That’s my view.

Is it just the mildew your having a problem with, or is there more issues? Is bleach gonna hurt its outer cover if you treat it? If its made in china, Id expect just about anything to be able to grow on it.

Is this just a flexzilla problem or all garden hoses?

There are a ton of people in the SE using including a bunch in FL. Never seen that. Have you soaked a rag in SH and wiped it down or ever wiped down for that matter. Take like 3 min. You’re in the mildew removal business, should be able to figure it out. I’ve had parts of mine that have looked like that if I’ve been dragging thru grease or something on a commercial job, but they clean right up. If I couldn’t get clean I’d be calling Flexilla.

Those damn hoses never been wiped down. I’d be embarrassed to pull up to a customer’s home with my hoses looking like that. Seriously, I’d call them if they didn’t clean up.

I am just dismissing all the hype about Flexilla hose. It aint that great. Other hose is better.
I bought because of hype and I was disappointed.
Don’t buy into the hype.
Other hose doesn’t have this issue.
See my pressure hose in the same environment.
I don’t have to wipe down (with bleach) my pressure hose.Mildew is mildew, as is hype is hype.
I have bad experience with Flexilla and I am allowed to share it.
Fair enough?

Call there customer service line and send them the pics. Maybe you got a bad batch or something. The worse thing they can do is say no.
