Flexzilla supply hose and mold

I love my flexzilla hose as far as on the hose reel. But it does have a tendency to kink when not being used on the reel. But all in all is the best hose I’ve used.

I wanna try this stuff. I got cheap GARBAGE on my supply line reel :sunglasses:

wow.
Rag with Sh should take care of it.
Another reason I clean between and after jobs is:
PRESENTATION, we all drive our rigs around, keep it clean, it sells!

Speaking of auto mechanics @Grizz, when I ran an auto shop we had Flexzilla air hoses and water hoses and neither ever molded.

We had several in the tire wash and flat check area to clean the blue coat off new tire white letters and spray tires for leaks. They never molded but we kept a clean shop and wiped everything down for appearance so that may have helped.

I think it is. Like racer said 3 years with no mold but he wipes his down every time. Its pretty humid here in SC too.

I’m in Alabama and don’t have this problem. I use a rag to wipe down all my hose as I roll it up. Only issue I’ve had with some of my flexzilla is the swivel ends are hard to turn sometimes.

Where at in Alabama

East Alabama

Lake eufala area?

I’m about an hour away from Eufaula. Are you in Alabama also?

No in Mississippi. I’m from Alabama.

We have over 300’ of 3/4 Flexzilla, use it six days a week and live in North Central Florida with very high humidity. The condition of the hose in those pics are from not taking care of your equipment, ANY hose will have mildew buildup if not maintained, youre seeing it easier because of the light green color.

Flexzilla is one of the best hoses you can buy.

We’re did you get 300’ of 3/4 I would like to try it but I’m concerned the lawn guys won’t see it in the grass and run it over. I buy the bright red hose mainly for that reason.

@florida_condo_cleani: We buy 100’ from Russ @ Southside Equipment, was < $90.

I tried it but it flattened out more than heavy wall 3/4 in runs on hot asphalt causing more volume loss & 1/3 less water in tank. I love the idea of storing more hose on a reel & it seemed to pinhole faster than heavy wall 3/4 mine lasted for only 2 1/2 months before being riddled with pinholes

@mark44 My flexzilla hoses stay wet on the reel, overnight, indoors and I’ve never had an issue with mold/mildew on the hose. That’s bonkers. Do they sit for a long time?

Theres different grades of flexzilla. Unless its just different hose ends but same hose material.
