Downstreaming without pressure

The ultimate softwash system.

Are you still spraying it thru your pw hose?

Yes. It’s going through my pw hose and using my chem tip to spray.

Any idea what kind of a ratio you’re getting with this?

No clue what is going on here.

Better than the machine pumping into it. I’m going to measure tomorrow.

I’m attempting soft washing with my Pw not running.

I think we’ve got it figured out now. It’s the same principle that makes siphoning liquid from one container to another possible. Once you create the draft it will continue to pull until there is no more fluid or the head pressure is too great to overcome. I honestly had no idea this was even possible with a DSI but I’ve never ran a machine that isn’t plumbed to a buffer. Save for 10 minutes of messing with my FIL’s homeowner machine.

What size is your injector or do you have a pic of it. Do a flow test in a bucket for 60 and see how much water you pushing through and then measure how much chem you pull in 60 seconds, then you, hell we’ll all know, what the ratio is. Then we can determine how to make your mix to get the right ratio for whatever you’re washing.

Please do. If possible, take a video of it in action so we can get an idea of how effective this might be. I’d like to see that in action.

So use a pump up sprayer???

Call a professional… thats my final answer.

The average house has at least 50psi pressure. Shooting it with hose a heck of a lot better than a pump up. I’m going to pull my old HD special out of garage tomorrow and see if it actually works.

If it does work like he’s saying, then ideally you could just make an adaptor for your garden hose to hook in a DSI and go to it. I’ve got great pressure at my house, heck with a plain old cheap $3 spray nozzle I can shoot 50’. Sure having the DSI inline would effect it some, but could be sweet in some cases.

You must have missed it, this is how I wash the dogs

It doesn’t work that way. The amount of flow you get when your machine is hooked up to a spigot but not running does not even put out close to what it does when it’s running. Your machine has to be running for it to efficiently put out what’s being fed from the spigot.

You got a pic of it?

I’m about to go pull mine out right now and test this out. I had no clue this was even possible.

I’m up for awhile - get to it.

It’s nothing complicated just a female Female GH to MPT adapter on end and a Male GH to MPT on the other
