I tell our guys to stick our little postcard stakes where they took the “before” pics, and grab them back up as they take the “after”, you always get the same angle that way.

Yeah im going to maybe get priperty stakes or something equivalent its a process in itself haha , i enjoy the work so much half time i hop out right in GO mode haha.

Sorry can’t picture what you mean, do you have a link?

I get in trouble from the boss because I take bad before and afters and usually from different angles and spots lol

We buy one of these models…we use them for our “5-around” cards on every job, so we’ve got them. Not really important what you get, get tent pegs, lol. Just put somehing where you took the before, and stand there to take the after…drop a golf ball, one of those little tree support stakes, etc.

I see.

I’ve played around with the idea of using pigtails on grass areas to help with hose management. Can drag against the pigtail and mark where you took photos.

Guys, Appreciate all the contributions and comments on this post and for keeping it pretty much on topic. Going to change the title so it’s maybe a little more search friendly for new guys coming on here wondering can they really DS or do they need to xjet or direct app. Think we’ve all seen you can downstream some pretty dirty properties with amazing results. Hopefully this will help someone in the future. Thanks

In my defense these guys left a buncha windows open and I had to work around that on their 3 story attached home that also had a gaping hole right at the peak. Just getting that out there :joy:

Downstreamed with 7.5 SH and arm and hammer with oxiclean inna 5 gallon bucket. Approx 2 ounces per gallon. Worked like a charm. Would hit a couple sides and then come back and rinse.

Looks good. You had to stretch that 4gpm to rinse that backside I bet. I remember those days.

This was after I did that deck from hell. It was like dessert after a meal you had to force down. Took me 2 hours flat from start to finish for both attached homes and they were very pleased with the results

Hasn’t been cleaned since it was built 30 years ago. All of the dark areas are lichen, wish I’d taken close ups. Window frames had yellow and red fungus looking stuff on them. Not sure what that was.

4GPM that pulls 9-1 with 150’. I parked close and only used 50’ to try to get the draw rate up. Used 10.8%. Put the soap on, let it dwell while I broke all of the lichen off with a brush. Probably 20 minutes. Rinsed and soaped again with another 5 minute dwell. Came out pretty good but there are still some small bits of lichen and anywhere it was growing there is light staining underneath.

If I see lichen the 12v comes out.

Do you find that takes care of the light brown stains underneath the lichen? 12V is on the list of things I need to get.

From experience with white vinyl fences, some of those lichen stains will never come out

Hit with 4% twice and 3000+psi

Were you able to hit the peak from the ground with a 2.5 GPM machine? What kind of tip were you using?

I’ve experimented with this quite a bit & I’m convinced the injector either draws or it doesn’t. I get the same soap with a 2540 as I do with the ball valve wide open. Also interesting, a 6.8gpm pump with a 2515 nozzle & 200 feet of hose doesn’t draw a drop of soap with a 2.1 injector. Same setup running 100 feet of hose draws full blast soap due to less back pressure. Going with an undersized injector will definitely get you a stronger draw with a little less flow. On the side note, dwell time has to be the most underrated tool we all carry.

Amen, truer words never spoken

Dwell time…I swear if I just let it set for like 10 minutes or so because I got carried away on another area of the home, when I come back to it it’s like magic!

Wrong nozzle. Should be a 2525 for soaping. 2515 is nearly 900psi.

PM ed you.
