Nice work! Did you use straight SH or a mix?
It isn’t.
Straight SH with Elemonator
Very nice! Thanks for sharing the finding.
Two questions:
- Why did you drop the poly ball valve again? How did you stop soap?
- I’m thinking this could work right before the gun at the 3/8" line as well? What do you think? I might have to try this…
It needs to be a little heavy or it will let papers fly around when you turn ceiling fan on
Ha ha ha ha
Seen the pictures, great work!
Can you tig weld @Hotshot
Stick only sir. Farm boys don’t have fancy smancy tig welder set ups.
Never had the opportunity to be honest.
I was looking at that gun you pieced together and thought you could make that a lot easier. Straight piece of stainless with threads tigged on each end and 3 females welded for your line and middle valve. Super easy, super cheap, will last forever.
You know what ,I think your on to something !! When do we start mass production man ?
That’s your project my man, Hydro-Chem’s pro-control remote soap system would be outta business lol.
If you have a dc stick welder you can tig with it. It’ll just be scratch start.
I’ll hook you up though. Sketch a diagram and I’ll add it to my to do list. I might even hand deliver just so I can talk your old lady into doing a roundhouse on you. I’m sure we can get into enough trouble together she’ll enjoying doing it.
If you go to Arkansas for this I’m totally down to meet up. I’ll film the roundhouse kick too.
She is a former MMA fighter!
Could you imagine ? lol
Does the bypass really make that much difference to justify the added weight? Seems like it would be a lot more streamlined with a 3-way that shuts off in the middle position, and just deal with the slight obstruction in flow. And you could probably afford to have a slightly longer lance after the injector to smooth out the flow a little bit.
That gun is designed to mimic upstreaming without running chem through your pump @Infinity . That gun will apply both chems at around 600,800 psi then rinse at around 1800psi. Also both chems are controlled by the gun operator instantly through that 3 way on the gun, so no more remote, turning ball valves at the trailer,or waiting on chems to come through a 100’ of HP hose, Is it a trade off for the additional weight ? Yep, Its a heavy sucker. But we’ve saved 10,15 minutes per unit and 20% soap use.
Do you have to swap out tips for that pressure change?
