Correct remote valve?

I don’t see a battery or any kind of return spring. There’s a little micro switch that gets pushed by the gear when it’s open.

There are two micros switches. One that’s pushed when open and one that’s pushed when closed.

Ok I gotta check now but I’m sure it it doesn’t close if power is disconnected

I figured as much, some sort of return spring.

It has too. How would the remote close it if not? That would require a 3rd wire.

Dunno, here are the reverse polarity comments. Says the valve remains in current state when power is cut.

Ok well I’m always up for learning I guess I would just to test it for myself. Only way I learn I like to with tinker things.

I’m the same way. I start messing with something just to learn even if I’ll never need it. I love tinkering. Especially welding and engines.

So this valve needs to have the wires reversed to close it? Kinda seems impractical to go back to the truck and change the wires in the box to push a button.

Battery’s?

Mine is the auto return, seems to work perfectly. Time will tell.

Yeah those could be capacitors for the auto return.

Put it back together and go in the shop. Hook it up to power and open it. Leave it on a minute to make sure if it has a battery it charges it. Then pull the positive wire and try blowing air through it with your mouth.

If I’m I’m wrong I’m wrong but I don’t think mine works like that I’m assuming the switch does that for me. But I gotta test it for myself

Black are capacitors. Maybe the blue is a battery?

So auto return to me means it’s using a decent amount of power to keep it open. This generation of some heat. I could be wrong… it happened once 4 years ago and my wife still reminds me.

It cant. The remote is nothing more than a fancy toggle switch. Push button and it sends power off the side of the board. Push off button and it cuts power to that side of the board. Nothing more nothing less.

Yes same valve from Amazon

Maybe.

No, it says ‘nominal’ meaning miniscule. I’m sure there’s a mechanical lock keeping it open.

What happened to yours

Yea it could be true! But it must be true if they put it on the internet. If it’s working for y’all I’d keep em going! I don’t sell many 2 way valves and don’t have a dog in this fight. Everyone wants the 3 way valves I build for better rinsing flow and injector clean out.

I’m just trying to explain how electric current works with a 2 wire system.
