Cast Iron Cookware

Oh heck no! I try every mustard I come across. I like regular yellow on hot dogs with relish but we mainly use spicy brown, dijon, honey, hot and horseradish mustard. I don’t do mayo or miracle whip and about the only thing I like ketchup on is french fries but I prefer them with mustard lol

Biscuits and mustard mmmhmmm

Couldn’t stand it after this thread. Broke this out for dinner tonight. I like to put a little soy sauce and worchester in the last couple of minutes to really flavor the mushrooms @DisplacedTexan

That’s the ticket! Yes always soy sauce and worcestershire. It makes those mushrooms pop

@hotshot I don’t remember which thread it was but seen you talking about corn dogs. Thought you might get a kick out of this.

Cornmeal tempura :joy::rofl:, That’s hilarious @SurfaceTherapy.

That’s the only thing I use camping. Dutch oven, charcoal, and a hole in the ground or the over fire tripod. I’ve probably made 50+ full meals (good too!) in mine.

Can you use cast iron on an electric glass top stove? Full disclosure- I want to change it to gas On the next stove but moma says no way…

I’ve used one for everything from roasting a chicken, making cornbread , to cooking spaghetti… really the king of camping cookery.

I didn’t think so but yet @DisplacedTexan and @Racer are doing it. I know my wife said ( I don’t give a flying dog turd what your boyfriend’s are doing on the squirt gun site with their wives stoves, So it’s a big nope on HER stove , can’t be done Schertz. :man_shrugging:

I’ll have her call ya Mr big britches so you can vouch for me . I’d rather spend 1k on a gas stove that I really want to use my $100 worth of cooking iron than rattling that mean ole ladies cage.

Just get a triple ring gas burner and cook outside the off limits kitchen area lol.
I have one for my woks and one for pans, I have found that they throw out a heap of heat and outperform most stovetop burners big time.
I have 3 different sized cast iron frypans and a couple of camp ovens ( you guys are calling them dutch ovens)
They need more maintenance but I think it’s worth it.
