Great minds think alike. We love sauteed mushrooms and steak and basting in butter. :yum:

I’ve got a chuck roast that’s been on for 23 hours now… soon as I get home ots getting the same butter and garlic sear treatment… cant wait.

Oh lawd. Do you do any peppers or anything with yours?

Smoked jalapenos, onions and butter. Make a brown gravy with the drippings. Us Hobbits know how to cook.

I love it. We’re going to do sandwiches next time. Make a gravy to dip them in sort of like an au jus

Get yourself a sous vide immersion cooker. You get the best juices out of the bag. Everything you cook is always perfectly cooked. No gray meat because you miss judged the cook time…

You and @Hotshot with all your fancy cooking contraptions. What ever happened to good old sweat and elbow grease to feed the family?!

Crock pots and Sous vide keep me eating dang good with VERYYYYY little effort!

Ah true that!

Besides you can take a cheaper tougher cut of meat like a chuck and through the low and slow cooking get it pretty dang close to ribeye, it breaks down all the tough fibres and collagen. I’m all about frugality.

I feel you there. We love crock pot foods. I’ve never used a sous vide thing

By all the gods I’m miserable, ate wayyyyyy to much but it was amazing. Went with a honey mustard sauce rather than the jalapenos.

I hated mustard till a few years ago because all ide ever had was yellow. Then I got a sandwich with spicy brown on it and was hooked.
