Best place to buy titan hose reels

@Innocentbystander this is what tomorrow and Wednesday looks like here. I’m gonna hang a sign on the wall that says don’t forget to take your time.

Oh and I’m changing the oils again with maybe 50 hours on the last change because I got some bestline.

:joy: how does this make you feel? Lol

I haven’t thought about fire engines in 10 years lol. I got paid to take care of them. I make no money tinkering with my own equipment

Dang. Sometimes I just like making IBS shake his head, but I didn’t even get a response…

Well, I’m impressed. I feel like im still in the dark ages with a white board, lol.

We don’t shut down so most of that list wouldn’t apply to me. You haven’t shut down either if you are finding busy work to do. Go hunting

It’s been unseasonably warm here. I’ve been out 4 times and saw 2 guys in trees already before I even got out of the truck and the highways by 2 different public hunting land have had 5-6 trucks parked in the ditches. When it’s warm, the less dedicated here find it proper hunting weather. Today the wind is 20-30 mph.

It’s been a weird season here. Cold weather is back tomorrow and the climber is already in the truck.

@Steve they’re free pdfs. You just type and print. Pretty handy. My accountant charges $85 an hour to do anything so you should see my Quickbooks cleanup list… holy smokes…

Before I derail this thread anymore… @jzbreeland since @FATJOE and IBS turned me onto Dultmeier Sales on the same day they’re the second place I look for anything behind Pressuretek.

Pressuretek doesn’t sell Hannays but Dultmeier does. The website isn’t easy to navigate, but the physical catalog is. They’re where I get camlock fittings, stainless steel parts, and will be where I get anything I need from Udor. Here’s their Hannay reels page.

I hate sideways pics. No matter which way i turn my phone it roatates. If it is important I’ll take a picture of my phone with the digital camera and look at the little screen on the viewer but that gets old

Yeah I’m doing maintenance today too. Getting a haircut, restocking SH and topping up gas tanks. McMansion week this week. Went thru 2 drums last week and was too tired coming in so fuel tanks on fumes.

I’d be hooking up my new tank lights if Alabama would send me closeup photo of how he has his.

I’m doing maintenance today too. The wind is howling and my Bleach Rig (I mean my sodium hypochlorite based cleaning solution delivery system) started leaking at a fitting and then wouldn’t prime…stopped for lunch and back out to git 'er done.

You are seriously going to hurt someone using that hose. What happens when that crap blows and a homeowner or pedestrian is walking by? This is the stuff that makes legitimate contractors look bad and pay higher premiums.

Don’t forget that idiot using his Prius. That’s really hurting the industry.

@squidskc @Innocentbystander

Can you comment on the cost advantage here versus the expected lifetime and quality of the hose reels?

Amazon has the 12" and 18" drum pressure hose reels from Cox for a really good price, plus FREE shipping. One is like new, returned because the box was damaged. The other has cosmetic damage, it sounds like some paint is chipped off on the bottom, but has no mechanical damage.

I can get both of these delivered with free returns if I don’t like them for the same price as shipping just one Hannay 1520-17-18 reel. I understand I may not get 10 years out of it, but that’s fine by me. For this price, would Cox be a great buy?

If you don’t buy that one for $128 I’m going to.

Again though, I can’t speak on Hannays and have only had the cox reels installed for about 3 months. I like them. Great reels so far. I think you’re better off getting Cox reels than reelcraft or general pump reels anyday.

Worse case scenario when you upgrade you can hang them on the wall for hose storage or put them on your second truck.

From the outside looking in though, it seems like you’ve already talked yourself into the Cox reels.

I do feel that for the price, it is the better option. I’m just really hesitant because I don’t want to make a mistake. Would I regret spending $600 on reels when I could have spent $300 for the same functionality? Will I regret getting cox because the quality is lower than I hope for?

I know you guys can’t answer those questions. It’s just that I can’t yet either.

Cost advantage? If a truck is down for a day I lose $1500. I’m not going to save a hundred to lose 1500. I’m kinda done with this topic

Same, but I know you well enough to know you wouldn’t curb a truck for hose reels. at least I think I do.

Yes the titan with the super swivel is the best option. I personally chose the 12” because I wanted to run 3 reels off the back. And to answer your other question yes I love having my reels set up like this. Just the right height for reeling back in so I’m not having to reach up or bend over. I wish I would have seen that titan 12” with super swivel when I bought mine. Ah well.
