Get the damn Cox reels. You’re only doing this part time. They will last you for a few years easily.
Then you can weld them to the trunk of the Prius and get IBS to make you a metal flange for each, run a string thru the trunk to the drivers seat and then you’ll have an adjustable wing on that thing. You’d be the coolest cat in CA.

Do you have any photos of previous wings he’s made at all? I wouldn’t want it to look tacky at all. At least somewhat factory ish. Could reall help with downforce pulling the trailer, right?
A broken reel wouldn’t make a truck go down for a day. 
Worst case, swivel blows up and reel falls apart. Remove hose from reel, connect to unloader and wash on… Lost time: 30 Min.

LOL, don’t think downforce will be a problem pulling that trailer. I’m anticipating your great success and you’ll have a F350 or if you’re really good, maybe even a Chevy truck by then. Prius will return to being your hotrod.

You’re right. I’m not doing this full time yet. I just bought the Cox reels from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I really wanted the Hannay, but I looked online and called several local dealers and the best price I could get was $250 a reel plus freight or UPS shipping which was $170 (UPS).
@racer set me straight. I don’t think maybe as great as the Hannay reels are, I probably don’t need a reel like that yet. I hope that one day I will. But until then, I can spend the saved money and get reels and hoses for what I could have just gotten reels for.

But buy the quality you need for what you are doing. I don’t own a $400 Snap-On cordless impact because I can’t justify the cost based on how infrequently I use a cordless impact even though I would really, really, like one and the Snap On truck comes by every Friday
