12V Pump for cheap

5 days, 4 guys, a nursing home with 5 separate wings.

Dang, like I said. That’s A LOT of windows. Must have been a huge property.

All the residents rooms had dual pane storm windows, so every window had 8 surfaces to clean and every room had two windows, so basically 16 panes of glass per room.

Crazy HUGE!
But getting back to the original statement.
Yes, it is the same thing. How is it different?
They posted a certain price, I, Brodie and I am sure several others purchased them and now they are backing out.
How is it that you feel that is any different? I don’t know how long that was on their website, I don’t stalk them. I just happened across it and brought it up to the group in case they would honor it.
If you scroll up, you will see that there was skepticism from the start.
So you say because you were already 3 days in to the job you honored your price.
What if that price was up for 3 weeks and I just happened to notice it last night?
How is that different?
I feel you are being too harsh and aren’t being reasonable.
So what if Brodie calls and complains? Maybe they’ll honor it, maybe they’ll tell him to pound sand.
Leave it be.

I have stated the reason why I feel it’s different in every possible way I know how. I don’t really know any other way to say it. If you don’t get it, then you don’t get it. Good luck on your pump.

Thanks.
Probably isn’t going to happen for me, I don’t have time for all that jazz.
But I wish Brodie the best.

Home Depot honors prices on something if it’s got the wrong sticker where they land on a shelf. I’ve seen it happen. I’ve been stuck in line while they send someone to go check and if that person radios back that the sticker was indeed wrong the cashier changes the price.

Northern Tool told the world that the pumps were $10. They should honor that price. Plain and simple. Prices advertised by companies should be honored.

A private sale of a truck between two everyday people that’s going to to get negotiated is a different animal all together.

Northern Tool is a shady enterprise anyhow.

And in a later example @Steve you said you’d eat $3500 due to a typo. So you own your mistakes as a business owner. It’s identical. Zero difference.

1 of 6 I’ve gotten happened to have been no good. 5 of the 6 have run for over a year and the 6th is on the machine now with zero problems.

I hated the high draw. I don’t have any time for mixing water in or filling tanks everyday.

You have 5 machines running full time?

Or you’ve been using these injectors for 5 years?

I’m confused lol

Ok, like I said, that’s a customer service issue because the customer was inconvenienced. I’m pretty sure that if there was a wrong price on 2x4’s like say 88 cents instead of $2.88 and someone came in and said give me 1,000 of those, the outcome would be different.

Except that’s not what I said and that’s not what happened. It wasn’t a typo, the maintenance manager gave me approval to do all the windows based on a per window price, not realizing that there were two windows in each room, instead of one. Halfway through the job he realized that he had authorized an amount far more than what had been approved, and his job would have been in jeopardy. I agreed to finish because I would still make a little money and help him out. That isn’t remotely like a typo on a price.

As I told NewGuy, good luck with that. Especially since you even predicted it was a mistake and the order would be cancelled.

Anyway, I personally don’t care what happens or what you do, but I do find exploring moral dilemma’s like this fascinating.

1 machine full time and 4 20 hours a week for 6 months or so every year. I sold my retirees machines and these injectors. They’re part time subcontractors.

But that doesn’t change the fact that I’m not wasting time making mix or filling soap tanks 4x faster than I need to. Enjoy your high draw. But they’re not for me.

Did you get an employee?

You like books? I want to send you one of my favorite. It’s called Extreme Ownership. I probably won’t change your mind, but it might.

2 full timers … been nice so far.

I use these in line after the 3 way to the SH tank.

By the way, I didn’t fully read why you ate that $3500. But I wouldn’t of eaten that. That was his responsibility to take ownership of it. So yeah, you’re a nicer guy than I am. As I would’ve said no thanks. Finished the job as advertised.

I already have it and I listen to Jocko’s podcasts. And, you are correct, it doesn’t change my mind in a situation like this. Jocko would say that you need to own the fact that you knew it was not a legit transaction when you made it, lol.

Well my perspective is that Jocko would say “if you say something without reflecting on it’s clarity, and typing it is no different than saying it, once it leaves your mouth or your fingertips you’ve committed to it.”

I didn’t know for sure it wasn’t legit. Coulda been a promo, but I had a feeling. So I bought one based on the information I had.

Hahaha, well, maybe. It’s pouring rain here and I’m debating just staying on the forum all day and bantering or going to the shop and do something productive. Productivity will probably win…
