12V Pump for cheap

@squidskc you were right.

I’m gonna call and complain. I’ve gotten pretty darn good at getting my way when companies screw up like that. I’ll let you know if it works

If you put out an ad that accidentally said “up to 1400 sq ft house wash $9” and 100 people called, you would honor it even though it was a typo or error?

Why not just accept it was a mistake and move on? Why try to screw over another business over a simple error? I mean, it’s not like you drove 2 hours to go pick it up?

SMH😕

What have we become as Americans?

Guys should be ashamed.

After a handout like waiting in line for a block of welfare cheese. Only y’all want 10 blocks of cheese😂

Shame👿

Easy now…LOL
Shame on me for thinking it was some sort of promotion for the new Amazon Business Page?
It’s not really a hand out if you pay for it…or do you still feel that way? Explain.

I feel like I’m back in grade school getting scolded by Sister Mary, LOL

Northern Tool hosed me on $2200 3 years. I’m not upset about $100 pump from a multimillion dollar corporation likely with an Amazon sales DEPT.

If I screw up I own it and beyond. Always. No matter what. If I post an ad on accident for $9 I’m doing 100 house washes for $9 because I said I would.

I actually washed her mom’s driveway on top of cutting the bill in half. If they had said they want it done for free I would’ve done it.

No more than 7 hours ago I climbed on a roof to clean gutters and a home nurse came out to ask what the hell I was doing. I scared her and an elderly couple inside. I put the wrong address into the software. Cleaned the gutters for free and the house I was supposed to do because I was 45 minutes late to it.

Northern Tool is no different in my mind. If they screw up… they should own it.

Andrew Dickmann earned my business back with this response. I never emailed him for the free EBC. Wasn’t going to. I got a tracking number today from Powerwash Store.

That’s nice and all but those are customer service issues not a typo. Not the same thing. I have serious doubts that if you advertised a used truck or pressure washer or something on Craigslist for $15 when you meant $1,500 that you would actually sell it for fifteen bucks. Come on now, correct me if I’m wrong?

A used vehicle on Craigslist is going to get haggled. If someone offered $15 I’m gonna say no thanks and fix it. And the difference in your math is 1%. That’s a bad example.

Advertising a new pump for $10 should get honored. Especially from a company like Northern Tool that screwed up at 10%.

I have a business account but don’t see where I get that line of credit?

I’m just glad that it wasn’t you that I submitted a bid to one time at a hospital and accidentally put $90 for window cleaning instead of $900. thankfully the purchase agent was a decent guy and called me to ask if that particular line item was correct before submitting the bid. :astonished:

And what would you have done if they only paid you $90?

If the bid would have been submitted with that line item being incorrect I probably would have won the bid. To answer your question it depends on when I noticed the error. I took a loss on a huge window cleaning job one time because the maintenance superintendent did not understand the definition of “a window” and thought that two windows together in the same opening was counted as one window. That mistake cost me $3,500.

So…you being a small business owner will eat $3,500 and chalk it up to lesson learned, but you want to scold someone for purchasing some deeply discounted pumps from a multi-million dollar corporation, with the possibility that it may have been a promotion for a new add on from another multi-billion dollar corporation?
All Brodie said was he was going to call and complain. If they have any customer service at all they will work something out with him. They don’t HAVE to, just like you didn’t HAVE to.
It’s just good business.

BTW, $3500 loss…that must’ve been A LOT of windows.

I did it because we were in the middle of the job on the third day of work. If I had caught the error before starting work, I would not have started the work at that price. Not the same thing at all.
