Whats the squealing noise?

everything looked new. no dents or dings on pump. ill take pump off tomorrow and look at it closer and report back.

Pull all the valves for inspection. Maybe theres something in there or the hose.

the hose is not jittery or jumpy. water flows smoothly out of it.

Frank do you have any experience rebuilding them. You could pull the bearings and replace them with a set of bocas

I would go against that if it’s a new pump, vendor will tell you to take a hike.

Oh yeah if you they will take it back do that for sure. What brand of pump is it

Looks like legacy or some hotsy.

Guys im sorry… FML!!! Long A*s day and done nothing but try to isolate problem… I did take a video earlier in slow motion. Apparently the factory pump rails are flexing severly while under load. You cant see it with naked eye, but in the movie you can. it appears this flex may be enough to throw the pump out of balance and cause the screeching sound…

BRB, im going to upload the vid to you tube…

Legacy pump

well heck. I guess YouTube wont upload in slo motion

It sounds like metal to metal contact? Did you check the sides of the belt for wear.

I hope that fixes it but I dont think that’s your only problem.

Yes. Belt is good. no wear. when I re set the belt in middle of sprockets, these belts tend to slip to one side or another. But its not binding or rubbing

This has no sound. Its a screen shot recording from phone. It goes slo mo.

I think your rails are wrong, mounted narrow.

@FrankPeters did you have a legacy pump before

Yes. I had same exact setup as this and not one problem.
