Thoughts on where this squealing noise is coming from?
Only happens when i am squirting water. Doesn’t matter if engine is idling or at full rpm. When you get off the trigger, noise goes away.
I still get the noise when the engine is idling and I have water coming out of the trigger with no nozzle. Free flowing
Im thinking a bad bearing… But the pump is brand new
Hey, Frank. Can you post a video so we can hear the noise? Is your downstream injector hooked up but not in water or soap? Those tend to make a slight squeal when they’re sucking air.
@FrankPeters easy fix. Gear drive.

Frank if you take the belt off do you get the noise?
How do I post a video on this page for some reason it doesn’t take when I try to do it
Have not found a gear driven assembly that will accommodate a 37 hp engine.
No. The noise is there when water is coming out of the nozzle whether it’s a high pressure tip low pressure tip engine is idling or engine is at full rpm.

Sounds like the belt is way to tight
its not. its set to spec. I even loosened it up to make sure and same issue.
That’s sound to me like it’s coming from inside the pump under load. Check oil for metallic matter.
Then the shaft bearing is bad
I just put oil in pump… Not sure if I mentioned, but the pump is brand new. Not even 1 hour of use on it. Started this issue about 10 minutes after testing it.
It might stop pump probably sat in the shelf for a time. Who did you buy it from
Oh, wow. Wish I could be of some help but I honestly don’t know what could cause that noise other than what the other guys have already suggested.
Check the shaft aswel and make sure it hasn’t been dropped at some point before the pulleys were slapped on
