Heck for socks I just wear a thin black under armour socks. If ur feet sweat that’s the faster they get cold. If I’m walking to a stand that takes me a while I carry a spear pair and change once I’m in the stand.
The shocks shud def help the beating your knees take while traversing various terrains… not sure about the sweating feet though.
my bad nice catch there…fixed using the slide keypad gets u some times
Those dri-fit socks are worth the money though… nike/UA, they are nice.
I’ll have to check them out. Iv tried all kinds due to once my feet get cold to the point I can’t feel my toes I’m done I’m going to do some truck hunting.
In the same boat… try a super thin liner sock and then the wool… for me made huge difference for me since i started the a few years ago.
Anyone try these by chance? I just saw them this morning online. I like the idea of a removable liner as the weather warms up.

- Waterproof construction.
- Adjustable nylon snow cuff.
- Insulating wool felt liner.

I have them… I don’t wash in them but have used them for winter boots for years. Feet never get wet or cold. I’m in Michigan
Good quality? Just curious…why not wash in them? A local store has them on Sale for Black Friday at $34.99. I’m going to at least go try them on and see if they might be comfortable enough to walk in for a couple hours. I will probably only use boots in the spring and fall as I don’t mind getting my feet wet (just not wet and cold) in the summer and will most likely go back to a comfortable old pair of running shoes.
Any waterproof or water resistant hiking boot… Nothing over $50 as I replace them everyother month anyway… I’ve tried the higher end boot like Timberland ect… and they all last me about the same time anyway
PS: Quick tip, Good quality socks are key! They can make a lower end boot feel like a higher end hiking boot…

This is what I wear. I like something I can saddle soap and put saddle butter on to maintain. I do keep one pair with the suede finish for estimates etc. My feet never get wet and with wool socks they stay plenty warm.
I wear Merrill’s … to heavy and bulky to wash in In my opinion. If your doing a lot of flat work in the cold it would be a great boot. I wear them ice fishing
We wear nothing but XtraTuf. They don’t leak beacause they are fully dipped. Everything else just won’t last any length of time. I tried out some Red Head muck boots and they lasted not even a month.
Rocky’s
Best boot I’ve ever owned. Cheaper the muck boots . More comfortable. Last longer. Just a better boot
I tried the low cut version of the extratuff and I felt like I was walking bare feet. I’ve gotten used to my rubber steel toes.
