What SC for 7gpm 3kpsi

Can someone recommend a SC for a 7gpm 3kpsi skid? Looking to use 200’ of hose.
Nozzle choice would help too.

This is for residential mostly. I want something of decent quality (don’t like the idea of plastic)

Thanks.

I have this one and a 24” ground force. They are both built like a tank……can’t go wrong with WW though.

If I may add, if you get a Whisper Wash Ultra Clean, the gun can be removed and you can then just connect your hose gun to a male fitting on the handle as @Innocentbystander pointed out.

have you ever rinsed with a ball valve? there’s a preferred end of the ball valve to use.

I did for a couple years, now you just pop off the gun, clip in your jrod nozzle of choice and go to town. No more hauling around that heavy ball valve. Again, William suggested this, wasn’t my idea.

The ONLY drawback is having to hold the gun open when starting the machine. I use a clamp to close the trigger when starting if the end is around the back of a house.

i use a gp hammerhead with 2504 and it works really well with my 7gpm

What size? I’m leaning towards around a 20” so I can walk a little faster vs say a 24

gotcha, i don’t even realize it’s heavy but it still takes a step to remove the jrod etc etc. nothing really compares to a ball valve rinse. hotel owners are like like WTF because its like a long clear light saber and can push rocks into place if needed. Ill make a video one day.

I was so happy to lose the ball valve. It is very heavy in my opinion. An extra pound to lug around fighting gravity, no thanks if it can be helped. Although i never tried to rinse with it. After seeing @Redjess describing it as a light saber it made me think. I wonder if you used a plug at the output if it would do the same thing. I will try next week and report back

yes 20” sorry i forgot to mention. the 20” hammerhead has lasted a really long time for me considering the price. think i paid $450ish for it 3 years ago. still running strong no maintenance

Thanks. Think it will be that or the ww classic since many like it and parts easy to get.

You need a better battery. I’ve never heard of having to hold the trigger when starting unless it was a pull start

I’m using the same battery you are. Sometimes it takes 3-4 seconds on a cold start and by that point the hose gets pressurized and the starter can’t overcome the hydro lock.

Check your valve clearance. On a recoil start engine you’ll know it’s out of whack when it tries to pull back & yank you arm off. If you’re good there, could be the compression release mechanism. It releases compression through the exhaust valve at low rpm so you can start it. It’s controlled by centrifugal force so you still get full compression at higher RPMs. I could pull start 6.8 GPM with the Predator engine, trigger closed. High compression at startup probably couldn’t be good for your starter or ring gear on the flywheel in the long haul.

It’s been like this from new. If it doesn’t start within a second and get enough power to push bypass it’ll just stop cranking because the starter doesn’t have enough force to run the pump past 3000psi.

200’ of hose has a little leeway for expansion but not that much. Think of it this way, try capping off the pump at the outlet and try starting it, not gonna happen.

Maybe your unloader isn’t bypassing water at start up? Works great with trigger open? A spare unloader with QC connects to keep in the tool box is on my grocery list.

Unloader is set to bypass at 3000psi, far above what a starter motor can overcome.

I don’t know diddly squat about how unloaders work but you’ve got a gremlin running around there. My GX630 fires right up, trigger closed from day one set at 3000psi.

the WW is definitely better just more expensive. i had a 16” WW that ran like a charm.

hey guys check out CAT PUMP and GENERAL PUMP they both have an EASY START VALVE
