With no pressure in the line and gun closed, cold start it had no problems getting rpm’s and bypassing to buffer.
With pressure in the line and warmed up it just cranked a couple times and locked. The starter motor just doesn’t have the force to overcome 3000psi and bypass to tank.
So if you release the pressure and then try starting it, will it still lock up?
Switch. You’ll never go back. I can’t imagine feeling like I’m kicked by a donkey every time I squeeze the trigger on a trapped unloader. With my 4/4 it was a lot and wasn’t pleasant. I can’t imagine it on an 8.
