We rarely see tile roofs here. I’ve never cleaned one. Never had a call for one.
It’s all asphalt for me.

I have seen two tile roofs around here, but they are not old enough to be cleaned yet. (two years old. MANSIONS.) But otherwise all asphalt.

We quote a couple slate cleanings a year but have not done any yet.

Yeah, there are a few around here on big houses but none are dirty.

95% Shingle with the occasional tile thrown in IF they accept my HIGH price. Hate doing tile.
We do mostly tile, and big roofs at that.
Shingle Roofs around Tampa have been whored out pretty badly.
Plenty can clean a shingle roof.
But a big Tile Roof separates the men from the boys.
The same idiots who low ball shingle roofs run away from Tile.

Hey!!! Lafayette Louisiana is my turf!!! J/k. But seriously, I wash 30-45 shingle roofs per year 2500-4000sq ft each. I am bidding my first barrel type/ clay roof tomorrow. 6500sq ft plus! I need some advice. 50/50 mix?60/40 SH/H2O? Pressure? TSP ?? Anyone with experience please chime in. At this very upscale area of town it’s very good place to be. Also doing all concrete/stone fence/pool deck/ house wash etc etc.
Also I get my SH made locally FRESH so That’s no prom.

what makes the tile that much harder? I don’t think it could get much harded than some of the big metal roofs around here…

I see all sorts of roofs down here. Asphalt, tile, metal, fiberglass, you name it.
Asphalt here. A few requests for metal. I’d love to see a discussion on tile roof cleaning methodology…in another thread, in the members area.
