Yes ironically the only infection I got was from the natural rubbing of the croc shoe 
on the top side of my foot… Once the SH started seeping in and bubbling i was frustrated. Fast forward weeks later I’m getting a routine checkup at the doctors and I mention the dirt getting packed under my toenail. This (temporary, new to me doctor) tells me with a rather passive aggressive tone that he can send me to a get the nail removed or I can just wait for it to grow out. Point of story… I’m ordering the closed toe sandals when we can decide on the best overall pair; for Men.
Men don’t wear sandals. I wear the Xtra mid height boots

(Assuming you have an ingrown nail.)
Solution for that is to soak your foot a long time to get that nail soft. Once its soft enough to digout, you put something rather hard or something to keep it out and straight, not allowing it to curve again. Soak even more and keep straightening it further. Once you cant do anymore, take a blow dryer and dry your nail out and it will stay straight.

Literally, in the last 5 minutes, I ordered another pair of Xtra tuff because I couldn’t find this thread. I spent the minutes going thru old Post but there isn’t a dadgum search feature anymore. Wife and kids will be in Calgary next week. Maybe she can’t get me a pair in person

I live mine they I have the low cut version also they are so comfortable. Get you a cheap boot dryer when you get a chance you will want it or they will stink. I could just have bad feet though
