Ouch. Forgot about your little geographic impairment for a minute there
Just double up on the hose clamps and place them 180 degrees of each other. That will likely take care of it.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen hose clamps on the neck and not on the barb’d portion. Have you tried to put your clamps half way down?
Exactly, just add another clamp a little lower until you get a real hose, preferably something about 250’ long.
Do you have a local hydraulic shop? If so ask them if they can put band clamps on it. They give you way better connections plus dont stick out. Eventually you will put a hole on your hose. At the very least wrap the new clamps in black tape to soften the sharp edges of the clamps
Didn’t try but definitely should’ve done it that way now that I think about it lol
Good thinking thanks @Firefighter4hire
Oh yea she gonna bite
I’ve been enjoying pinch clamps for more permanent applications. Stainless of course. They have sets with tools on amazon reasonable priced.
@anon37135677 what gauge wire and fuse are you using?
That was my problem. When i switched to 10 gauge wire i got alot more flow not sure if it was related in anyway.
@anon37135677 I may be wrong but that thing is going to fail probably at the worst time possible. I understand it’s a work in progress just dont get comfortable with it. You may wat to put a heat shrink on it may help it last a little longer
Yea it’s just a piece of plastic so your probably right… I’m just gonna keep a good eye on it and replace the entire hose soon enough
All I know is that switching the hose and gun made a huge difference. I also switched to a 5.5gpm from a 5gpm pump which probably helped a little bit. I’m gonna put the pump in a different box and add a switch over the winter.
I know shipping is dumb expensive how far are you away from border. Maybe we someone is close that they could drop ship it and you could pick it up. I get a discount on shipping I might be able to save you some money
I can see the Detroit skyline from the park behind my house lol. I send my pressuretek orders to a family friends house just outside of Detroit. Just about to order some elemonator as we speak. Where do you get discounted shipping from? I appreciate the offer btw
So my brother is a pilot and for some reason they get a dumb discount on shipping though FedEx I shipped my race care motor from va to Connecticut 300 bucks I cant say it will be cheaper but I can try
