Jeeps can never be “Sweet”. I’ve always tried to look right past them.
For a Jeep It’s pretty cool. You see a ton that have a cheapo lift and some knockoff wheels and knockoff mud tires but his is actually pretty well put together and everything done how it should be. Otherwise, I agree. I have no desire to own a Jeep. I’ve sold them and driven plenty of them and they’re just not great everyday vehicles. They’ve come a long way but still not entirely there.
Those Ram boxes the best thing about those trucks. Reason I love my Avalanches so much. I could live out of those storage boxes.
They’re just everyday useful. That and the in floor storage on those trucks is a great use of otherwise dead space. Most everyone has an under seat storage but the floor one is pretty cool.
There alot deeper than I imagined and the have leds in them. Gonna take some getting used to the looks of it. Betcha it would hold 30 gallons of truck soap on each side though .
I thought it was hilarious, Wifey not so much…
Where’s the Jeep?
Sold it to buy the truck and continue on this little pressure washing adventure
Nice tires/wheels but that’s all I can handle. They drive horrible in the city I need a old mini cooper or something so I can weave around in
With something like that you can’t go with a cheap Chinese lift and the tires needs to be inflated properly. When I got new axles and tires put on they inflated the tires to 35psi. I picked it up and drove straight to Omaha from Denver. After 100 miles or so and my kidneys killing me I deflated the tires to 20psi in front and 18 in the rear, definitely helped
Lol you see having to run a tire damn near flat is craziness
It’s supposed to be ran that way. They forgot to deflate it when they went to max psi to ensure no leaks around the headlocks. Now when I was off road I ran at 5psi in front and 3psi in the rear
And I had great tore wear and life at that psi. I have gone up to 26 in the front and 24 in the rear when doing long distance traveling though to help keep them from heating up from the sidewalls flexing (which makes them ware faster)
All my tires need 60 and up
May as well be Fred Flintstone wheels with them being that hard. Can you feel every hair on an ants back when you roll over them?
Good ole 10ply tires on my grey ghost, 70 in the front 75 in the back.
5 psi? I’m assuming you have beadlock rims? I’ve had tires pop off my hilux in the sand running 10 psi on 35inch tires. Now I wouldn’t attempt to go hooning in the wild without beadlocks
You guys need to watch Matt’s Off Road Recovery on the YouTubes. He runs like 8psi and yanks RV’s out of the sand and mud with an old Jeep out in Utah I think.
Yep, headlocks. I miss my Jeep but I wouldn’t be doing what I do now without selling it
37/13.5/17 Toyo Open Country R/T. Damn good tire for both the road and off road
