I’ve noticed the past last week that its been acting weird to start, Sometimes turn key and nothing, Sometimes hard to start, fired right up this morning. shut down to fuel up and no more . We do travel a ton of pothole filled gravel roads. Time will tell, I’m gonna dig into it tonight when I get home, it sure has been nice to have the second machine on trailer though, taken more time ,but we all worked and are taking home foldin money, So I’m not complaining , I’m also gonna check ground like you said, That also could be it ya think? @Firefighter4hire
You can check the resistance on it before you order one. Most coils should read between 0.4 and 2 ohms. Zero resistance would indicate a shorted coil while a high resistance reading would indicate an open coil. I run the cheap $10 eBay China coils and have been very happy with them.
ok so here’s a huge flaw in the design of the 2-step gun system in my opinion. I had the pressure line blow inside the vacuum hose today. It’s zip-tied with the chemical lines about every 6 inches inside and even if it weren’t I think getting it out and rethreading a new hose all the way down your vacuum hose is something you wouldn’t want to do out in the field. I’d recommend using a lighter and smaller vacuum hose and just wrapping your chem lines in it, and maybe zip tie or strap your pressure line to the outside of your vacuum hose. that way when your line blows it’s as simple as just cutting or unstrapping a few things and quick-connecting a new hose.
Yeah that sucks but would you even notice having to pull around a dead hose if you just left it in there and ran one on the outside lol
that’s what I had to do today lol
You set a record pulling 5 hoses brother the wife wants to know if you were wearing ankle weights too
@Hotshot did you take it apart yet. Sorry curious.
He’s still working on getting the wing nut off the air filter cover.
Lol. That’s a pretty fair comment. getting ready to tear it apart, I was wore out last night and wimped out to the house . Wing nut removal, is reverse threads, With a 3/4 impact right?
Absolutely please record that and post
Yes, make sure you have the collett tight, cant have it slipping on you…
Super rusty ,should I sand that and the fly wheel? I’ve been digging on the web and someone mentioned that could be the problem.
Never mind, Sanding didn’t work .
On a helping note , If anyone runs into my kinda situation and they need to winterize before it freezes that night, pull plug and crank key, it will suck in the antifreeze and push it out the hot box, most of yall don’t have to worry about a hot box, So it be even easier.
@Hotshot Surface rust is ok it’s only the big stuff that you need to knock off with a stiff wire brush. Did you come up on a used coil to throw on there? Trace those two small wires back and make sure they are not worn through at some point grounding the coil out.
I will sir, Thank you Dez.
I’m just resistance training so when I switch to upstreaming it’ll be like I’m holding nothing at all!
Those chem lines are 1/4 correct @pressureguy ? I’m ordering some tonight.
Not yet, engine shop is closed Monday’s, I have to get the 4 wire coil. Internet says $50 . They will have a used one I’m pretty sure.
pretty sure!
