I see 7 different ways to trash a pump
Its all SS and brass. what you see @dperez ? Throw me your wisdom US Yoda, I donāt have it teff taped yet. Im gonna do it on 1 machine I have to clean at the quarry gig Iāve got.
Disregard big baller it looked like zink plated steel from here
Lol. You said no galvanized or zinc plated a while back.
See ? I listen my friend and take your advice when givin.
Thanks Dez.
Pick you up a hose puller at some point. When you razor off tubing from barb adapters you scar it. Those lines are now leak paths. If you have to put a razor on it just cut down a little more than halfway so you are not fighting the full thickness of the wall.
Iām relatively new to this. To help in following this conversation, would you mind explaining what the water meter is used for? I understand it probably reads the amount of water used, but what are we doing with this information? It looked like they were suggesting he get a water meter to supply the water to do the job.
I think I figured your question @dljessup , A water meter is required when you draw water from a fire hydrant so you have proof of how many gallons you took and then pay the city per gallon. Or im totally wrong and your talking about a TDS meter lolā¦
If you wanna ask a question about a particular topic take your finger and hold it on such topic then drag you finger to highlight it in blue and tap the lil quote button beside it , like this bubbyā¦
Btw ,Welcome to the forum man.
@Hotshot dang how many different kinda of setups are you building? all of them?
Two step gun ,DS ,US, And dabbling in a pulse pump @PiesiCleaning , Im always looking for better ways. like to tinker I gather. Im never truly satisfied, Its a curse.
Hows your pulse pump coming along sir ?
What @Hotshot said.
coming along well, waiting on the garage to be build (company shut down due to virus) should be up and scrubbing in a month. It will be nice to get away from the houses haha.
My first owner/operator and engine degreasing:
Not sure if this is an ethical thing to do but there were 7 other trucks about 50 yards down so I placed my business card in their window. Worst case is they throw it away, best case they call me and give me a chance to earn their business.
@Hotshot how do you get to the tanks under the sleeper? I didnāt want to break those panels by prying them up or out. Just wanted to get the tanks cleaned up for this guy
I clean the hand hole in the fairing and the rear of the tanks, you can also clean pretty much all the top from the rear but thatās it for me. And you wouldnāt believe me if I told you how many business cards Iāve blown away when I come around the corner cleaning lol
Iām hoping nobody blows them cards away! They donāt look like they are being cleaned by a mobile washer on the regular, maybe blue beacon occasionally. Hope I can get some regular business as owner operators are paying $80+ to get their ring washed and I can come out and do it for $75
Two here maybe one over there and a few on that side. I passed on that every time!
Ya really cant man those are bolted on. Iāll brighten what I can see.
Still running a cold unit here. Gentleman asked me to power wash his rail working equipment. I figured itās the same process as truck washing with the degreasing aspect of it so, do you think Iād be fine with cold water and a degreaser like F9 double eagle, purple power or Zeb high butyl? Doesnāt look too bad
