Truck washing (Soaps, Tips and Tricks)

Instead of using Purple Power or Zeps get some good degreaser. Something like BD20 or BD200 from Southside. It works so much better. You’ll never touch homeowner quality degreasers again. I’ve never used F9 Double Eagle so it might work but it probably costs 5 times as much as BD20 or BD200.

I their website https://shop.pressurewasherky.us ?

That’s it. I had to rebuild a transmission over winter and did a side by side test using Purple Power and BD200. I tried scrubbing the Purple Power and it still didn’t get near as clean as just spraying the BD200. It’s a caustic degreaser but it’s good stuff.

If that equipment is real greasy hot water will make your life easier. Maybe see if you can’t line up some more work that requires hot water and rent a unit for the day.

I’ll order some BD200. How’s WD25? Meant for machinery it says

I’ve never used the WD25 but I did order some the other day just to try. I don’t have it yet though. It says it’s suppose to be used with hot water but not sure if that matters or not. Just be sure to rinse really good with the BD200 since it is caustic. I think you’ll like it.

I’d wait for the rubber scrubbers to comment since they know a heck of a lot more than I do about cleaning equipment. I’d still recommend ordering the BD200 even if you don’t end up using it on the railroad equipment.

That’s going to be a no. With trucks you’re cleaning mostly road film and bugs. Heavy equipment like excavators have loads and loads of thick soft grease and a bit of the hard petrified stuff. Rail equipment is one step down from that. I wouldn’t touch either of the three without heat. On heavy equipment we’re upstreaming well North of 220 degrees. 95 percent soaping and 5 percent rinsing. Don’t give that work away, there’s good money in rail. I’m at $200 on it

That’s cute :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I don’t get it???

I think he’s hoping you’ll invite him to Broke Back Mountain movie night.

I even offered a 6 pack to take the edge off, still declines me.

Well that still doesn’t answer my question

Nope none of that for your spank bank

I ended up cleaning it for $175. Took an hour and a little bit of degreaser. Cleaned up like new ! It was alittle but rusty but nothing you can do about that !

Southside equipments website isn’t working and I’m trying to order BD200. Anyone else having the same problem ?

Looks like the site is down. Probably just doing some maintenance. If you’re in a big hurry you can call in and order.

Night work just got brighter

Add some 12V LED water proof lights to the trailer edge (inside) for full on disco action.

Now that’s some serious algae! So why is that tank not sideways? Softer slosh using the front and back curves as ramps with less of your trailer length taken up.
