Truck washing (Soaps, Tips and Tricks)

Why ? More ph ?@pressureguy

Why it’s better? Idk. One day a few weekends ago I ran out of Dynaclean and switched over to a batch of Film Fighter I had left and to me it left the chrome noticeably shinier.

Not sure if it’s worth the extra cost though.

Oh also it’s a lot foamier than Dynaclean. Just depends on what you want.

What’s the cost on it?

I’m getting $192.40 per 6 gallon concentrate.

That’s still a pretty decent price for soap. All the locals here to Louisiana are @ around $250 a drum before taxes, only thing I can’t buy from hydrochem is HF, there over $500 a drum, they can’t send it in 6 gallon pails .

Hmm that’s odd. I remember when talking to Chad about soaps and HF him saying that HF is cheaper.

$435 a drum for HF brightner . 150$ to ship.

Now citric acid is cheap, round $94

lettering on the trucks are being washed off and or becoming wrinkly. Is there any way we can rectify the situation?

I get this email today. I am 100% positive we are not washing off any lettering as we take before and after pictures. Now when it comes to wrinkled lettering how would that happen? My guess is that they have some tears in their wraps and water is getting under them. This is from Ferrellgas and they weren’t being cleaned at all before we started.

Only way I can remove lettering, as REQUESTED by a customer,is to carefully use alot of heat. Your either getting to close with alot of heat and staying there to long,or there full of bull and the lettering is old and brittle and is gonna come off no matter what.

What temp are you running @ ?

Their stuff is old and hasn’t been cleaned in forever before we started. We are running around 140-170 I believe. Usually we don’t go higher than that as there really is no need

If you go over 130 your acid starts to break down and doesn’t work as well. Food for thought, we run around 110,120

Did not know this. I’ll stay around 110 from here on out then

Huh. Learn something new everyday. I’ve always ran 170-200. Not saying it actually got that hot but that’s where I set it on my machine.
