Another great video @Racer. Just a fyi for guys that haven’t done many composite decks. Watch your pressure with rinsing these things. I have cleaned a few of the early generation Trex decks that the home owners have screwed up using high pressure. It leaves a darker pitted look which makes it look like mold. Let the chems do the work and rinse with soft wash tips.

I hate the x-jet if it’s not absolutely necessary. Wrangling two hoses and buckets isn’t my idea of fun. Plus I only have 2 proportioners left for every x-jet we have. Nothing gets lost easier than proportioners.

Next week we have a composite deck that’s two levels and a good 100’ away from the truck. We can only access it by going the long way around the house. The upper deck is on the 3rd story. We’re running two machines… I couldn’t imagine 4 hoses and buckets.

Rowdy, you already have an XJet DI. Just take the XJet apart. Several of our good friends shared this info: @Patriotspwashing and @Dantheman both advised to adapt the XJet. All you really need to do is strip the nozzle from the rest of it and add a quick connect to complete the package.

I still use the proportioners, but I just ordered like 8 of the primary two that I always use…sure enough, right after they arrived, I lost two of them. Those little buggers are a p.i.t.a., but I like being able to relatively control my mix. Plus now I run a 50’ hose from the bucket, so i station it at one corner of the house and just move it when I really need to.

Ditto, except I ordered ten beige and ten red, might last me through the Summer. I have the hose but hadn’t thought of running 50’. Gonna try that next week. Thanks again for the info. I just haven’t been able to give up what I love about the XJet to downstream, so I bought another XJet so that I could leave ttwo proportioners (black and beige/red) in the XJet without having to change them out so much that they get lost.

Didn’t feel like pulling the softwash line. Just mixed a 5 ballon bucket up. Took about 3 minuets to brush it on.

Are any of you guys using oxbright or f18 max ? Or just house wash mix for this trex composite stuff ? I would like to try some f18 on wood and def think its worth ordering some f8 as well !
