Trailer Build

My wife and I currently operate out of a 6’x10’ trailer with a 225 gallon tank, 8gpm PW, roof pump system, three hose reels, and a surface cleaner. It can be done very effectively however, it’s not ideal. We will be upgrading to a 16 footer this season. And probably a much larger tank. We’ve run into many houses that we run out of water and have to wait.

WELL GUESS WHAT?? Mine is a 10’ I park it over by my other trailers and I thought it too was a 14’ but nope 10’ email me I hate to put these pictures on here. I know William don’t want to see my pictures J He will tell all what is wrong with it…

rave@usit.net is my email

He’s not the only one here on the forum. I like to see other people’s setups. Especially the ones that are a little less conventional, or there’s room for helpful input from other members. I think it gives us all a broader, more rounded idea of what works, what doesn’t, what might work, and the reasons behind each.

William can come across a little rough, but he’s very knowledgeable and generally seems to try and be helpful in some way. If you don’t like a particular thing he or anyone else suggests, you’re free to ignore it. I’ve done that a few times, myself

Well OK I will put a few on here… The first one shows the back side… This angle is put on the trailer 4’ from the back. This is where the pump, my electric reel which is a must to get & battery. I have 150’ of hose I get all that out it is SO EASY to push a button and it reels it all they way in…

Now this side view is the middle that is 3’ between angles where my tank sits

The front is another 3’ space where I have a box I put my gas in other washers all my tips what I need and tools…

Now the best thing of my set up is my TRUCK, couple of years ago I bought a utility truck from a fellow. Was local electric truck, it has my tools, compressor, gas tank, ladders it is the bomb… I did have 190,000 miles on it its a gas, now got around 210,000. Bought it from a fellow who wanted $2,800 I looked around my budget was 2,500 I did get him down to $2,300…
I also use this to pull my mowers, i mow and bush hog my church which is 45 acres. Got 2 Kubota Diesel mowers use my 14’ tilt for that

Here is a recent build that I did. Went from 12 ft opened trailer to a v-nose enclosed trailer. So far I love it, keeps the equipment out of the elements since I don’t have a garage to keep them under. Also, I don’t have to worry about people stealing anything off of it or loose items flying off on the highway. It is a little harder to work out of than a opened trailer but I have 2 sides doors which make it much easier. And the best part is it is a mobil bathroom if nature calls!

id be more interested in some more detailed pics if you dont mind! We will be using one of our enclosed trailers this season for certain work and your setup looks great!

Hey friend, I would love to see more detailed pictures of you trailer build.
Email me at wingsovernc@gmail.com please.
I am trying to start my own PW biz after working for two company’s that are in the biz. I purchased a Potato chip Stephan that I intend on turning into a Hot/cold and soft wash van. Has anyone on here done the same?

Here are a few more pictures. I still need to do a couple of things like gun holders and a permanent exhaust vent for the burner, but as of now it still works out great. It is definitely nice knowing that all my equipment is safe and inside. But like I said it is a little bit harder to work out of than the opened trailer, mostly because of the burner and my fear of it setting the whole trailer ablaze while I’m out working. I have a exhaust that I run out of the back that I hook up when the burner is on, its just the wood around it kinda freaks me out being so close. I am going to put up that heat shield metal on the wood closest to the burner soon though.

Thanks for posting the pics, I’m i’m interested in learning more about your build specifically equipment that you’ve chosen you know your total outlay for your building such I’m working on my own right now I’m in the design stage I’ve posted in the commercial section a picture of my step van and reply to Racer and Zen on some of the questions. I really appreciate your help with this and I appreciate everything you posted so with that I bid you peace and look forward to seeing more

I am a firm believer in going as small as you can so you can get into tight spaces but always make sure you have everything you will ever need which means you will have to go larger than a single axle trailer,
This trailer cost me $6000 NZ dollars or $7000 US dollars to build and has a honda motor and 7 gallon pump, 1000lt IBC as buffer tank, a second 4 gallon machine, and a fatboy roof pump set up as well, plus ladder racks and all the other stuff you need like hose reals and two 20 inch surface cleaners.

This trailer is ideal for us, but you build whats ideal for you and your clients in your area.

I have one honda 8 gpm and one 5.6 gpm heated machine. I run them both out of the back of the trailer with titan stainless steal hose reels (they cost a little more but will last much longer than powder coated). They both pull from the bottom of a 350 gallon bugger tank and downstream through a chem tank. Just make sure the machine exhausts out a door or a way they are able to ventilate out.

What is the little troy built pressure washer used for?

Ballin with those wheels!
