To ball valve or not to ball valve

Ball valves ae GOOD, good to change out surface cleaner/ wand, good to rense …
cut your machine on and off, the ball valve is on water coming out.
opinions like butt holes everybody got one

@xlr8tion have you checked there WCRA store? https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/pressure-washing.html

Bystander uses his trigger guns as a ball valve with a QC at the end

@Innocentbystander. I personally need one to rinse…I know it’s a personal thing. Water Cannon seems to sell the exact valve but they call it 3500 psi and the Eagle Wash 16 for less and with free shipping. Almost 50 dollars less for ball valve and SC…

BTW…AFAIK that’s a MTM 3000psi valve…

Not sure where they get 4000psi at 90F.

MTM makes a 3500:psi in a 1/2 inch.

The ABV038-BKH is rated over 4000 psi but I think all female QCs are mostly rated at 4000 max

So you guys recommending this valve have had no issues at 4000 psi?

Thanks!

Old thread but I have that same ball valve… but it stripped. So now it won’t open or close completely. Cheaper to fix it or buy new?

I’d just replace. But then that’s me. Sure plenty of guys would rebuild.

Ever had one go bad on you before?

maybe once a year

Is there a chance you could provide links to all 3 of these items. I purchased something similar off amazon even though it had good reviews it broke after the first time using it. So Thank you for providing this video look forward to having a better setup that will last.

Links to what? The ball valve. Any PW distributor will have everything in the video

A link for the ball valve, and the quick connect pieces. Is there a name and model number? I believe I found a link to the same swivel above in this thread. I know I can find a ball valve and quick connects on basically any website or Home Depot but I just want to make sure I’m getting the same quality parts as shown in the video. Because the ball valve I purchased the other day broke after the first use and my quick connect basically jammed up after a few hours. I heard the person in video say his last for a very long time so I wanted to get the same products thanks!

You mentioned home depot about a ball valve so I assume the one you originally purchased was probably not rated for high pressure. Make sure you check pressure ratings of anything you plan to use on your high pressure side. You can’t just throw any fitting on there you want.

Order your parts from reputable pressure washing stores and you’ll be fine. As far as basic fittings like stainless couplers, elbows, etc look into hydraulic fittings. Use stainless whenever possible. Don’t buy the brass or zinc plated quick connects from home depot. They don’t holdup to SH as well as stainless.

Don’t buy junk from HD. I showed what you needed in the video including the prices and also told you to call a pressure washing distributor. All you had to do was tell them you wanted a ball valve assembly and they would have hooked you. So be glad that there is someone on here nice enough to take the time to look up the items that you could have done. That wouldn’t be me. I’m working about 80 hours/week right now.

Thanks for the video @Racer it really was put together great and I really do appreciate it. As I am new to this industry I still have a lot to learn and do not have a go to PW distributor to call and ask for help so Thank you @TexasPressureWashing for going above an beyond for me and providing the links for me to acquire these items. This is why I joined this forum great community and tons of information out there. Thanks everyone
