To ball valve or not to ball valve

Ok, I will make to ask for Bob when I order again from pressuretek! Thanks!

You’ve got a couple of good dealers down there that have decent prices - Georgia Chemical - https://georgiachemical.com/ - talk to Linda, she’s be in the industry for years and I hear good things about North Georgia Airless, they’re in Gainesville (http://www.northgeorgiaairless.com/)

I’m pretty sure Geogia Chemical sells bleach at decent prices too - Hope this helps. A good local dealer could be a real help for you.

@racer Wow thanks! I’m going to give both companies a call today and see what they have to offer! A local company would help tremendously and I will make sure to ask for Linda when using Georgia chemical. Thanks!

Just seen this thread and wished i seen it earlier. Just got a raptor blast high pressure ball valve today in mail and out the box the valve wont open. Cant turn it. Do they need to be under pressure to turn?

If it looks like this then you bought the cheapest hp ball valve you could have possibly found. If so it’s rated to 7,500 psi and I would venture to say that’s why you can’t turn it lol

I run 2k psi valves for my machines not yours with no issues

Get the black handled high pressure ball valve. It’s a lot more compact which is nice.

I run that 1, right of my unloader for making adding ds inj easier when needed. Under load it is tight to turn.

I feel for you! I can turn mine with a pinkie. I run Milwaukee, Apollo and Sharpe 2k SS valves

I take comfort in the fact that it won’t get turned on accidentally, but maybe over time ill chsnce my mind. Plus I’m running about 3k psi

3k on a 2k valve is no big deal

That’s a nice ball valve you got there big D

Still trying for that Broke back mountain movie night sleepover aren’t you?

How on earth you get a leak there? Crap casting? Looks like a vertical crack.

There was a parting line there. They spun it and friction welded it so you can’t replace the seats. It got really thin there.
