To ball valve or not to ball valve

Ah! I see what you’re saying. My hot water lance is different than the short gun. I’m just saying I only use hot water once a week max so I use a different gun altogether. My surface cleaner isn’t set up to just pop onto the gun unfortunately. The short gun is fantastic. No problems. Zero corrosion. 90% easier to keep the trigger closed.

The hot water lance was an old GP that I bought probably 2 years ago and rust comes out of it every time I fire it for the first time that day. THAT gun had the trigger stuck open which made for a hairy situation. I just made the mistake of making it even hairier.

I’ve already tossed it and will be ordering another one of these suttner 2315’s for the hot water lance.

This is a lesson learned if it ever happens to me. I might not have thought there was still pressure in the line. Thank you for sharing.

Exactly what I was thinking gets caught in everything around the corner. Imagine trying to work around a garden bed and they have lights all over. It would end up being one hand on the gun and the other on the whip line for the whole job.

I’ve yet to go all the way to a short gun still using as 12’ Lance some days I need those extra inches to hit peaks. Feels like I’m constantly stretching my arm to the max and I’m not short either… 6’2

Now you’ve got your spare. Plus I’m sure Bob appreciates it. You’ve got to do something with all that money you’re making and it’s tax deductible.

I use my short gun 95% of the time, but if I want a little extra, especially if windy, I pull out my 12" lance with the Guy Blackmon shooter tip. It might be psychological but feel like I can reach about 5’ further. But after just using the short gun for so long, it feels like I’ve got this huge wand now when I add the 12", lol.

I use it to rinse on flat-work and its great but I rarely ever do that.

Think it would be to much pressure on siding though…

@Racer this is you?? HAHA when I was reading and watching videos on how to “Pressure Wash” I watched this one a few times. Great video and thanks for taking the time to make these!

Thanks, but I just did the ball valve one on how to build and a couple of trailer ones. Michael Kriesle did a ton of different ones.

Now I gotta buy a Guy Blackmon shooter tip. I’m only 5’10 so sometimes I’m on the tippiest of toes to get soap to peaks. Lol you and William should get commission on all the stuff I buy from Pressuretek or Gator Lock after you two recommend stuff.

And after rewatching your video I gotta get stainless steel couplings. Ha!

LOL, really. I was starting to wonder about you when I saw those brass ones on your trigger gun. You doing this for business or just a hobby? :sob: Seriously, try one of the Hansons, get 2 so you’ll have one for your gun too when that brass one wears out.

I’m really, really good at spending other people’s money.

I don’t mind you, William, and Andrew out in Mass spending my money,
because you guys always seem to help me make a bunch more.

That being said though, about a year and a half ago I got tired of going
through O rings and somebody told me to buy Viton, I think it was William,
and I haven’t had a fitting go bad since. Maybe I’m just lucky.

I’ll give you something else to wonder about. I think this brass thing on
my gun is supposed to swivel. LOL but it does not.

Yea I want to get a couple shooter tips as well… Sent Guy a message but haven’t heard back yet.

Send him a message from his FB page, usually get quicker response.

But in all honesty, a friend of mine and I were messing around and I was telling him about. So was showing it to him and he pulled out a 0050 and 0060 standard tip and both got within about 6" of the same distance using my machine. It wasn’t windy tho, which is where I feel it helps the most because it gives a little tighter stream.

I have a value just like that one … for me is hard has hell to open and close it … I have spray it a few times with wd40

Can you take them apart and rebuild the valves? That’d be good info actually. Maybe you got a bad one?

Where’d you get yours?

That’s exactly what I bought and set up. It cost damn near $100 but has been totally worth it. A necessity for sure

This is my ideal gun setup as well.

I’ve yet to buy the 4 ganged nozzle holder. My back pocket has worked just fine. Lol

Do you use the 4 ganged nozzle holder in the short gun? Doesn’t get in the way?

@Racer you’re batting 1000. I just picked up this ball valve and whip line from my dad’s. (the other stuff for your setup will be here tomorrow). I already hate it. This thing is like 1000 lbs and as big as a boat anchor. Please tell me the other one is smaller…
