Wanna go deep south get blue plate mayonnaise brother Grunt.
Dukes must be half yankee since we can buy it here in IL. Iāve never seen the blue plate. Will have to look around.
IS that some kind of southern thing? Iāve never seen that before, PB and mayo.
I grew up eating them. I just assumed all normal people eat what I eat.
LOL, I guess Iām abnormal then. Iāve never seen or heard of anyone eating that combo before.
The older I get the more abnormal people I encounter
I actually just picked up some dukes for the first time 2 days ago to see if itās worthy for our deep south pallets. Iām trusting @Innocentbystander advice.
Nobody doesnt like my bbq chicken.
Dont mean to get to crazy here about the PB and Mayoā¦ i doubt you find many ppl that like mayo more than I.
What kind of ratio we talking? Light coating of the bread of each? Light coating of mayo and heavy PB? Like a packet size amount of mayo and normal amount of PB like on PBJ? Heavy mayo and light PB?
I need a pic of a mayo and PB sammy dudeā¦ and it better be on white bread.
Glad you can afford the good stuff with that WW added to the arsenal.
I eat a LOT of peanut butter. I grew up calling it light bread, as opposed to flour bread or biscuits. Grandpa was a Merita bread route driver right after WW2 until 1978. Merita short loaf white bread, solid half inch layer of jiffy creamy pb, good lathering of Dukeās Mayo, lick the spoon before putting it in the sink. Donāt sqush, the sandwich. Whole milk in a frozen mug, Rockford Files on tv, dogs at the window keeping an eye on the squirrel feeder. Peaceful
Not to point out the double negative, but bbq sauce on a chicken is a waste off bbq sauce
If you gotta put bbq sauce on anything you cooked it wrong
Mines chickn can be wet or dry or without.
I grew up in a tiny town just north of Mobile, Alabama. I remember going to church gatherings and lots of people wouldnāt eat this one ladyās potato salad because everyone knew she made it with fake mayo. My momma wouldāve thrown a fit if we ever brought home anything but Dukeās
Have you ever had a peanut butter and banana sandwich? I practically grew up on those things. Delicious.
Peanut butter just pairs well with a lot of different things. I might give the pb&mayo sandwich a shot.
People eat weird stuff, Iāve seen people eat spaghetti sandwiches. I canāt figure that one out. Iāve tried the PB and bananas, felt like I needed a gallon of fluid to wash it down. My wife loves PB and chocolate combinations, I donāt understand why someone would ruin perfectly good chocolate. PB meltaways are ok, but I can walk past them. Peanut butter icing on a chocolate cake makes her happy, I hate it. I like PB and grape jelly, it is a quick and easy sammich to make. If Iām making a sammich, I want cold cuts (lunchmeat or deli meat to the uninformed and uneducated). Yes, a sammich on rye, marbled rye, or pumpernickel, or at the least a good Italian bread.
Believe it or not my step-dad used to eat a hybrid of those two. Peanut butter/banana/mayo. Never could bring myself to try it
Iām peanut butter banana with sliced bananas. Wife is whole banana on bread like a hot dog with mayo. But sheās Norwegian and eats pickled herring so thereās no accounting for taste
