Talking about it! Now its time to deliver

So I was having a conversation with a property agent and he was telling about the property he
wants to clean but don’t want a pressure washer because of the last time. So I mention to him about soft washing and whats it about. now he wants me to do the job. Here is the situation All I have is a 3100 psi 2.5 GPM pressure washer. there is no one else on my Island that does soft washing. Q: Can I work with what I have for now until I make enough to upgrade? can you recommend anything that would work with what I have currently?

Do what you have to do, get out there and wash, but if you have any kind of disposable income go buy a 4gpm washer and it will pay for itself in a very short amount of time. Look around your area if you can rent a machine too, I have seen others do that on the forum.

Most on this forum soft wash with a pressure washer. Most have a dedicated sift wash system for roofs, stucco, etc. Is your machine ideal? No. Can it get you started? Yes.

thanks @ pjswashing would an x-jet work or would the ds. the homes we have here are cement plastered then painted. i think you guys call it STUCCO.

I’ve lost something somewhere. He doesn’t want you to use a pressure washer but you are going to use a pressure washer? Just walk away. That’s a lot easier than letting a customer tell you how to do your job.

X-jet will get you higher SH percentage which you need for stucco/dryvit.

I wouldnt be doing roof he only wants the sides on the house to be wash.

Let me explain the last time he ask someone to pressure wash the houses. they strip all the paint from the surface. so he doesnt what that to happen again.

X Jet will work fine

So giving that the x-jet has proportioners would i need to add additional water to the sh and surfactant mix or just mix sh and surfactant.

You’ll need to test how much chemical your x-jet pulls with your pressure washer. I’d test first without any prportioner. Then with the highest volume proportioner. That’s likely all you’ll need. You need to read up and study, study, study. Good luck.

Hi,

You don’t say what this property is made of or what condition it’s in?

It’s always helpful to post a pic, or at least say if it’s painted, brick, wood etc and what the surface is contaminated with.

(Now is the time to get into the habit of taking pictures. Before and after, quote purposes and potential insurance claims)

If it’s the same house that’s already been damaged, be very careful what you’re getting involved in.

How about apply house wash mix with black tip, rinse with same after dwell time. Correct me if I am wrong if this will not work.

Well, that’s one way, true.

But you can’t really tell someone how to wash when you don’t know the surface or what’s on that surface.

Could be black mouldy brick for example - how’s the downstream/black tip going to work on that?

the house is made from bricks with the surface cement plastered ( i think you called it stucco in the states) not 100% sure if thats the right name. and it is painted.

Welcome back Keith.

Thanks for the update :+1:t2:

Try to get a picture if you can. I mean, this could go on forever…is it plain or painted? what condition is it in? is it dirt/mold/ambient pollutants? what’s above, below and around it? See what I mean?

As you haven’t done it before, the worst thing is after you’ve done it and we say “well you never told us about the…”

Might sound over the top, but there are so many variables - it would be negligent to just say spray it with xyz and it will be fine.

Bear in mind, this customer has had issues in the past - so this is definitely make or break for you if you choose to do it

house%20wh this is a pic of what the house looks like on one side.

Good work! Helps a lot.

So it’s just mold. Green is easy, black a little harder.

There are a few things I see in the pic that might be a concern, but first up - does your machine have a chemical injector? (Do you have a pic of the machine?)
