Anyone know what to check for if your surface cleaner is wobbling? It still works but wobbles and is annoying. No signs of damage. I don’t know how to diagnose.
Turn it over and block the bar with your foot and pull the trigger…see which tip is stopped up and clean it or replace it.
So most likely just a blockage?
Yepper
… so cancel my order of a brand new one and save 334 dollars?
I didn’t say that…it is always nice to have an extra one…no joke.
Depends on surface cleaner. Usually main issue for wobbling is clogged nozzles. Alot of junk get dislodged, doesnt get filtered and clogs the holes. Take out nozzles and visually check them. Replace if clogged or use needle to try and remove rock, pine needle or pieces of weld splatter or from when they bore out the arms. Fastes is just replace with new ones and deal with other ones later. If that doesnt fix them, then you need to grease the nipple once a week (if you bought a decent quality one lol)
Yeah you right. Thanks for the trouble shooting advice. I have a large paver project on the 28th and the new one isn’t scheduled to arrive until the 28th.
@chinoltw You do know that you can’t hardly find a surface cleaner with a serviceable bearing, anymore. As far as I know, they are all sealed. When you replace them…then you can get the serviceable bearing.
Well the be and gp hammer heads have greasing nipples that most guys dont use… not sure about the whisper washes… but just like cars/trailers, you gotta grease them regularly so they dont seize… now once they go they go… got buy a new head but its only a fraction of the price of buying the whole thing
And i think whisper wash do sell rebuild kits
My Whisper Washes don’t have them. And, really, that is fine with me…I don’t want to have to grease them.
But i will say this… i have had surface cleaner wobble even after ive done what i wrote above and it turned out my pump was going out
What do you mean your pump was going out? My other attachments were normal (xjet, turbo nozzle)
My pressure washer pump. Seals were done for and it just croaked lol… once its goes your pressure and gpm go down the dumps and it cant run the surface cleaner or anything
Gotcha. This machine is brand new maybe 40 hours on the engine and pump.
Then most likely is clogged nozzle. Cheap fix
I feel you on that one… as business owners its ONE more thing to take care off among the MANY MANY things we have to worry about
@Jdpowerwashing what kind of machine do you have?
I only have 4 gpms… but i did make up my own “siamise twin” connection so i could pump 8 gpm from 2 machines
